I'll give almost any James Coburn movie a try at least once.
He's a bit underused and Michael Crichton is not exactly an actors director it would seem. Still worth a watch.I'll give almost any James Coburn movie a try at least once.
It's all about Bart the Bear.I have a hankering to watch The Edge. The one with Baldwin and Hopkins.
Spiderman No Way Home
Other than the giant Macguffin of a plot, the rest of the movie is very solid. The premise of the movie and how the plot evolves... is idiotic . You really need to get past that or you're gonna have a bad time. I was expecting a few more twists and turns, but it came out great in the end. Can't believe how many of the previous villains I just flat out forgot about until this movie.
Spoiler:Finally an appearance by venom. even if it is brief.
Even Ghostbusters II isn't awful.Honestly, if they just played the original in theaters a few times a month, they'd probably make a ton of money. I'd see it multiple times a year.
I have still never watched it.Even Ghostbusters II isn't awful.
The Innkeepers- A pair of amateur ghost hunters working at a supposedly haunted old New England inn the weekend before it closes do some half assed investigating while dealing with guests. I really enjoyed this one, it's a small movie and quite predictable with some groan inducing jump scares but the two main actors are very natural in their workplace comrnddarie. Anybody that's worked a dead end job with someone else where you have a lot of free time can find their relationship relatable. Not even an appearance by Lena Dunham could ruin it for me.
I hope the directors new movie "X" is good and gets him some more recognition. I've liked him since I saw House of the Devil years ago.
All of Ti West's movies have very different aesthetics and atmosphere. House of the Devil is very 70s, kind of dreamy and washed out, Innkeepers is very late 90s, Sacrament is found footage and In a Valley of Violence is a bright western.I went back and quickly rewatched this movie. I remember seeing it before, but nothing memorable about it. Something about the look of the movie really resonated with me, but it is from 2011. The film really feels more like 90's to me. Was an interesting rewatch.
I think a lot about this and I'm close as well. Right now, we have 2 streaming services, which is my limit. There's a service here called U-Next, which is a little more expensive than netflix, but gets more movies sooner, and they made a deal to get all the HBOmax stuff that got pulled from other services. So I'd finally be able to watch Peacemaker among other things.Netflix gets ever closer to being cancelled by me, which is saying something considering I've managed to pay for fucking premium Hulu for four years now.
you should probably cancel netflix. @famicommander has scientifically proven it can make you want cock. first it starts out with meh movies. then shitty netflix shows and movies. then you'll be watching MMM.Texas Chainsaw Massacre (terrible 2022 version) - easily the worst movie I've seen in a while. Just awful, everyone involved with it should be banned from the industry and also sterilized.

But without netflix, I never would have had the opportunity to watch Annihilation, which was fucking fantastic. For some reason in Japan, it was a netflix exclusive. That one movie alone earned netflix a shitton of goodwill from me.you should probably cancel netflix. @famicommander has scientifically proven it can make you want cock. first it starts out with meh movies. then shitty netflix shows and movies. then you'll be watching MMM.
the two things i've enjoyed thus far from netflix have been You and Mother. i haven't delved into their library of content. But without netflix, I never would have had the opportunity to watch Annihilation, which was fucking fantastic.
