I have no idea where the fuck this is going, but $55 CAD for a ms9 was too good to pass up and the cab came with it. Will probably only keep a single seat

Also scooped a Die Hard arcade cab for $35 CAD but took the board only, no room for the plastic trash can. Glad to have an ST-V board finally (shoutouts to dogg lol)

Couldn’t help myself. Keyboard typing game for Dreamcast. You can use controls too.
Wow, that game looks amazing! I wanted to invest in the DC keyboard, but thought aside from Typing of The Dead and some games of Q3/UT it wouldn't get much use, but this game looks fun! Kind bummed to read its bugged at certain areas. Maybe the dev's will release an updated version?

I think Typing of the Dead is good enough to warrant the purchase of a keyboard. Seems like my advice had no effect. Suffer like G did.

Great stuff, but man, I sure hope it doesn't rain.

Already moved to a garage while I clobber a complete single driver together out of the two sides (one of the sides was missing basically everything north of the pedals, and the pedals themselves were broken)

After I sold my last X'EYE for double what I was expecting (auction), I went ahead and bought a Mega SD off eBay. Yes, it was too much but what the heck.

Edit Frustrating right now, it says put the different region cd bios's in BIOS file but it's not recognizing them. The user manual is not very good. The Everdrive Pro manual has more details in comparison.

What a scoop. How's the screen looking burn-in wise?

This just looks like a hell of a mess. I'm sure it's gonna cost a lot more then you paid for it to restore it to what it used to look like.

Not too bad, faint text of the "2 players can race" attract text mostly, but I can totally live with it, not gonna complain. MS9-29U with hitachi tube

It actually came "complete" as far as cab hardware goes, I just disassembled as much as I could for my bud and I to lift it easier and stuff it all into a cargo van, took the pic after it all unloaded.

But yeah, like I said I plan on making a complete single seat setup out of the set, if I wanted to restore the twin setup completely I'd have to source a second monitor + monitor shroud, second steering wheel/shifter and replace the broken pedals, and I'm not willing to make the money/time/space investment atm. I was originally going to give away the cab locally and just take the monitor for my own nefarious purposes but I was given an opportunity to stash it away for awhile until I have the space to set it up

I paid for this at the end of December and finally got it after 7 months of waiting. I had to take it apart and remove some door jambs and cabinet hardware to squeeze it into the house. It's a first gen Beatmania IIDX cab that's got current hardware upgrades and is in pretty good shape, but does need a little work with some new lights. A few buttons and one turntable were not working or were stiff, but I was able to transplant some of the hardware from my PC controller (Phoenixwan) and it all worked perfectly.

Where are you going to keep that long term? Garage or something?

After waiting about 10 months I finally got my collectors edition for space invaders which came with some pretty cool extras and also had to grab Darius burst ex plus for the switch! Love me some shooters!

Bought a cheap Taito TypeX3 system, changed the i3 to an i5, 4gb to 8gb ram, new power supply, installed the new X3 multi image on an ssd and upgraded the GPU to a GTX680.

This thing was fucking disgusting when I got it, had to wash literally everything the dust build up was that immense. I peeled off the dust like a thick layer of mould on the CPU cooler.

Pretty crazy indeed but I’m glad these games from 40 ish years ago are still getting the love they deserve. Just goes to show that some games truly never die!

Small pickups this time around. Got my super edition of power rangers with all the dlc and a clean copy of capcom vs SNK 2 JP. It’s greatest hits version but screw it! Turns out I didn’t have a copy on ps2

What exactly makes it special except sofware. Could you build this from a regular PC?
