Hey all. Just wondering something. I know the SamSho V Perfect Rom has been dumped and put on a cart. My question is has it been put onto a form with Full region support yet? With English text and JP text options?

There's bootlegs around that have english text yes. Dunno about them having JP as well but I'd imagine it's all in the ROM. It's in english on my NeoSD for what it's worth.

Yes. It was done soon after the game was released. The PC version accomplishes English by patching memory on the fly, so hacking that data into the rom wasn't a simple task. Thank you to the folks who put the work into this.

Can anybody explain to me the difference between this and Special? I know the fatalities were toned down and the decapitations were eliminated...

They added a story. And...

Welcome to modern neo geo culture.

Everyone excited for a new unreleased Neo Geo game from SNK. It’s just an update to a previously released game.

Almost nobody asks what makes it different.

Everyone still wants cartridges of it.

I must be the only one around here who still plays Neo Geo games, on my AES at least.

And my Neo Geo CD.

And my MVS boards.

The general consensus seemed to be that it has an added story, violence is cut back, and any other changes weren't worth writing home about. If someone diligent were to actually document all the exact differences like Big Bear is asking for, it would be cool.

So what we need now is a Samurai Spirits V Ultra Perfect that has the violence AND the added story.

The Japanese title is Samurai Spirits Zero Final. So, I don't think Perfect is to be taken literally here.
