Seriously, who did you knock off to scoop these games? :lolz:

It's been a series of trades and flips online and offline man. This current market sucks, but its not impossible to get games for good deals. At the moment I only care about the Metal Slug series, english if possible. Everything else I try to get for cheap and use it for trades.

Also it's all about who you know and people are unloading due to COVID.

Must be a big market in Texas...

Nice. I love that game, but it's got a weird learning curve.

XL NY style pepperoni pizza from Gigio's in Uptown

Gigio's Pizzeria? Man, haven't heard that name in a long time...

I used to play Ultimate MK3 at its original location on W. Lawrence back when arcades were still a thing and enjoy a pizza slice on occasion before/after. I thought it closed for good but guess it moved to N. Broadway...

JLF.JPG

Some people might remember that I scooped a local Astro City cab here on the forums like 4 years ago. I put a bunch of work into it; rewiring, general cleaning, replacing some of the locks with original 5380's, replacing the buttons and ball tops with the original color, but one thing I never got around to doing was replacing the joysticks. I'm not exactly sure what sticks were in the cab, but one of them was original to it and the other wasn't, and I wasn't a huge fan of either. So I finally bought a pair of Sanwa JLFs, to which I added an enlarged actuator, 2 lb spring, and octagonal gate. Much better now. I also put dampers in the buttons, which I greatly prefer as well. I just ordered 3 more 5380 locks because I need to replace the ones on the underside of the control panel, and I have finally given up on preserving the original lock on the coin bucket door, so at some point I'll drill it and replace it with another 5380 so that they all just match.

Speaking of Astro City cabs. I finally got one thanks to Redfield0009! Been wanting one since I got into collecting arcade stuff and I couldn't be happier with it.
