Nice pick ups.
Robocop Aleste is pretty fun, how would you rate Android Assault?

Robo Aleste is pretty awesome, though I don't think I like it as much as MUSHA. Android Assault is pretty good. I generally prefer vertical shmups, but I like the enemy designs and the weapon effects are pretty cool.

Paid the equivalent of about $20 for this lot. Thrift store find.

Video 2000 system with a few tapes. One of them is a tape head cleaner cassette.
This thing is a beast. It weighs a ton. I had to source my own 240V 13A figure 8 power cord but the unit is fully functional. The tapes are playable/recordable on both sides.

And a few collectors ed/widescreen edition VHS movies.

Nice grabs.
How's the, Secrets of the Back to the Future Trilogy VHS?
Some of those secrets probably aren't as special with all the new technology we have today, but the movies still kick butt.

Robo / Dennin Aleste feel super stiff to me.

It also doesn't help having a vertical shmup presented horizontally and letterboxed. It's almost unplayable, IMO.

Android Assault, OTOH, is a hidden gem.

Hosted by Kirk Cameron. It's just a short 20 minute tape. Some interviews, behind the scenes type of stuff and a look at some of the work by ILM wrt the special effects.

Bought these in the summer. Sonic 1-3 is now complete (not going to bother with the 3D one on the Megadrive). Happy i finally bought Strider. Alisia Dragoon is now one of my favorites on the Megadrive. Already had Time Crisis 2 and 3 is great as well. First Mega Man and Castlevania game for me, i am amazed with Castlevania IV. Decided to get the Batman games on the NES as well.

As a big beat'em up fan i was expecting a lot from Dragon's Crown but it just hasn't clicked with me yet on a level i was expecting. Doom VFR was a bit disapointing as well even though the classic one is my favorite fps ever.

I like how that Raging Justice looks like an early Genesis/Megadrive game.

Nope, I love Football and prefer the old games before they included gambling in every sports game. PES 5 is probably the best part in the series for example.

Contra 3 - Never owned or beat this one. My first Contra was 4 and in the last ~5 years I've got back to beat the original (NES), Super C (NES), Operation C (GB), and Rebirth (Wii).

Gradius 2 - Beat 1 on NES and PC Engine in the last ~2 years. Looking forward to this one. Will probably do PC Engine afterwards.

Aladdin - Got a long laundry list of Disney platformers I want to beat. Already did Aladdin on Master System. Genesis will be next.

Aladdin on the Genesis was the best IMO.
