These three (Devangelic, Hideous Divinity, Bloodtruth) were the ones that appealed to me the most. I particularly liked the song Ages Die.

I’m definitely a metal newb. I do listen to Slayer and have an Iron Maiden record. But I’m also trying to get more into the local scene here. Started listening to a band called Axioma.

What is your age?

Ohio used to have a deathfest called (ready for it?) Ohio Deathfest. There are a few death metal bands left in Ohio from what I recall. I'm not sure how active the death metal scene is these days in Ohio.

I've been on a Dissection kick lately, I usually like my black and death separate but the way Jon melted them together just sounds right. Rip

Can’t argue that. Storm of the Lights Bane is classic material!

I'm 34. I've heard good things about the metal scene in general in NE Ohio, but I remember asking about electronic music as well and everybody just suggested to travel to Detroit for that instead.

It's been 15 years since GamerAbyss has logged in.

He could be dead.

Like his snakes.

Electric Grave is also still the ultimate NG.com Tool.

Been listening a lot to Visigoth's The Revenant King, otherwise been pretty dry metal wise, it's really, like all music, a set and setting thing.

Try the band Smoulder from Canada.
