As some of you may have seen in the selling forums, my Super Gun looked like crap. I was trying to sell it thinking I would build another one later. Well, I got an old turbo grafx 16 from a friend and I decided not to sell the super gun and salvage the parts to build a better looking one. What do you think?

After: The TurboGun

As you can see I replaced that butt-ugly PC supply with an external Jameco one; the orginal TurboGrafx power button starts it up.
The controller ports are wired for Nero Geo controllers and I've included the test button on the top for games that have a test menu.

NGT - Thanks for suggesting the Jameco

That looks great!!!!! Did you have to do any modifications to the controller ports or did the db 15's slide in nicely?

Nice work

I had to cut holes for them, the turbo grafx only has 1 controller port to the right of the hu card slot.
Hmmm, hu cards.....I bet a Neo memory card would fit in that slot....:D

What about a Turbo Express? A true portable supergun!

not a bad idea, but the pc engines are so small and cute, they have those weird pin sockets in the back anyway, you could have the neo memory card slot installed on the hucard slot.

it would look so cool!

I'm happy you got this together! Looks awesome man.

The problem with a Core Grafx or PC Engine is that it's probably TOO small. Also, they're a bit pricey so better find a really good deal on one of those.

DEFINITELY need to use that HuCard slot for the memory card. That'd be teh balz

Simply lovely.

I love the JAMMA edge on the back.

Great work.

Very nice, looks really professional.

Converting the HuCard slot to accept Neo Memory Cards sounds cool, and the size of the memory cards are pretty much identical. The only problem is that if I remember correctly the Neo card readers can be a bit bulky...
