On CD, Shodown 3 is the best bet. It's a blast and it's beautiful. You got loads, but SNK made sure youd be entertained during.

Lets, See;

Last Resort is wonderful
Basball Stars 2 is great
Fatal Fury
Bust a Move
KOF 94
ASO2
Metal Slug is great
Magician Lord (hard, but awesome arcade platformer)

Those are som of my favs on CD at the moment.

ok thats cool, what about kof 98 is that pretty good?
Just not worth it on Neo CD. Loading too often. YOud be better off with the DC version, I beleive.

If you can tolerate the loads between every match, its solid.

Really, the only KOF worth playing on CD Is 94, as it loads for the whole match and not between characters. That is the way to go. Good tunes and kof 94 is a really solid old school fighter. Up there with SF2 in my book.

Ok "fast" loads + good games isn't it?

- AOF 2
- WINDJAMMERS
- SAMURAI SHODOWN 2
- SAMURAI SHODOWN 1
- AEROFIGHTERS 2
- AEROFIGHTERS 3
- FATAL FURY 3
- REAL BOUT (Better OST than the AES)
- DUNK DREAM
- SUPER SIDEKICKS
- SENGOKU 2
- GAN GAN
- WORLD HEROES PERFECT

Also KOF 95 is great in Cd and has quite acceptable load times, specially if you play using a CDZ.

The only games I found personally unacceptable due to horrendous load times were Last Blade 2 and Samurai Shodown RPG.

Otherwise, the loads really don't bother me on any game.

Recommended CD games are definitely Metal Slug 1 and 2, since they have KICK ASS art galleries and the unique and challenging Combat School.

Also, Real Bout Fatal Fury Special is nice on CD, though the load times are pretty close to being unacceptable. You get that Blue Mary's Blues music video that's just sweet all over. :)

all the load times for all neo cd games.

It would seem older games have lesser load times, some even have NONE after the initial boot

If you get anxious when defeated and want to start a new fight asap then do not buy RBFFS, because load times will desperate you.

Also Ridign Hero is a very bad and outdated game, you should buy Trash Rally 10000 times before.

IMHO the load times In SSIV are not decent, specially because of the loading during the map screen. I won’t recommend it.

But, that is the time for me to get a drink and snack :) Still a good game besides the load times! :D

The Last Blade is good on CD, even if you own the cart, for several reasons:

1. A versus mode
2. It saves each characters ending and all 4 story screens. This way, you do not have to beat the game over and over and over.

I was gonna post a new thead about this, but since this is a CD thread, I'll just post it here. I got a CDZ, and I was thinking about getting SSIV for it, and I was curious if the load times kill it or not?

well....

I have ss4 for the Neo CD.... and I cannot remember exactly the load times on it as I have not had the time to play SS4 for a long time. :annoyed:

but going off memory... I thought it was longer loading that Sam Sho 3, BUT not that bad.

I think less than KOF 97......

Cool, thanks. I think I'll pick it up. Then when I finish my supergun, just get it for that. It's more expensive then hell on AES.

I find that shooters, side-scroller beat 'em ups and Puzzle games are very enjoyable on the Neo CD. With few exceptions, fighting games have crappy loading times and are best played on other systems.

I'd figure I'd post this bit of info for you about some load times. I picked up Viewpoint and Puzzle Bobble for my Neo Geo CDZ. Viewpoint takes about 15 seconds for the initial mode, then it's just damn solid. There is a little "bump load" that takes maybe .5 seconds when a boss shows up, that's it. Puzzle Bobble takes about 10 seconds for initial load. That's it. These 2 games are very very good buys, and cheap too. I'm a patient guy myself. Here's another little bit of info. I played Knights of the Old Republic for my Xbox (beat it by the way), and whenever you go into a new area, it takes about 15-30 seconds to load, then it's fine. I never really bothered me, so I counted it out while I was waiting. 30 seconds is no biggie to me. If you can handle KOTOR loading times, then just about ANY Neo CD game will be perfect for you.
