BenimaruN:
but that still didn't answer my question: "did launch titles have the neo geo ball logo on their jewel cases or NOT?" wink
but you do raise an intriguing point: neo geo cd protos. VERY interesting indeed. spock
Sorry I do not have the answer 100% to that one. I will say I do personal own a few titles that do not have the Neo Geo ball logo on the jewel case, however it been so long I do not recall if I bought them that way or if i bought them used and the jewel case was replaced (by either myself or the seller). I will say of the 9 titles I own that are still sealed they have the Neo Geo ball logo. but they are more recent titles not from the initial launch.
i figured providing people with the Launch info may give people titles to look at
the subject was covered sometime ago here, you may want to search the archives to see what else you can find.

I will also say I have come across HK rips and re-wraps over the years of buying Neo GEo cd's. Usually I notice the Manuals are Thicker of the HK rips because the paper used is a thicker grade. as well as with any jewel case you replace it with what you have in stock (my TSS cd the jewel case was replaced with one w/o the logo because the orginal was cracke) although swaping the jewel case with a SSRPG jewel case is really no big deal as well

I do think sometimes the cd release were Spotty with the logo ball and on some occasions SNK used cases without the logo. but that is just speculation.
Hope that helps
