I've heard many people say that Sony Wega's are the best quality TV's out today. Even more so than HDTV's because the difference in quality isn't that drastic. So my question is this, does anyone here have their AES hooked up to a Wega via s-video? If so, is the picture quality still grainy and washed out?

Thanks GePapa! That's just what I needed to know. I'm thinking about picking up a 27 inch Sony Wega for my room along with SNK's official RGB cable.

Yeah, I do as well. Now that I turned the color up a bit (after Riot Blood Iori said the color looked a bit faint), it's looks great. :D

Hell yeah, my 32" Wega rock! The best is DVDs with component cables and anamorphic widescreen blah blah...it all equals hella-bitchin' movies! Oh, and Neo with S-video looks just beauty too.

and don't mess around with picture modes. Do yourself a favor and buy or rent an Avia home theater set-up DVD.

If you get the opportunity, check out the pic-quality of LOEWE Tele-sets. It´s a level above everything I´ve seen.

Yes!!

I had several Loewe tellys, they're very good. Their <a href="http://www.loewe.de/cda/frameset/0,2206,ge-en-no11-0,00.html" target="_blank">web site</a> features some interesting sets.

I have my AES hooked up via S-Video to my Wega XBR 36". The best tube you can get before you get into Hi-Scan and HDTV. I hooked up both RCA and S-Video on my AES and simply(and quickly) switched between them on the front of the TV, if anything to know for sure i was getting a superior picture over RCA. In a few weeks i'll post a few pics in "Collections". :D :D

I have the same one and it is probably the best TV you can get for that price. I hook up all my systems to my Wega and they all have great picture quality. My AES system is no exception, it looks great with S-Video.

I agree Sony sets are beautiful, but it can't touch my new 34" HDTV 16:9 Panasonic Widescreen Tau Flat Screen Set I just got a couple of weeks ago! (Check the picture out in "My AES Collection...(READ) post in the Selling Forum)

This thing is PHENOMENAL. The picture quality is jaw-dropping. I play most of my games in widescreen mode since it has this picture-adjusting feature that kinda keeps the image in perportion!

I would highly recommend Panasonic's Tau Flat Screen CRT displays. They kick ass...
