I've got my 6-slot MVS conected to a Super Nova, and have a few questions. 1) How do you switch between slots? I have a Neo-Geo game pad hooked up, and I heard select is used, but it isn't working. Does the board itself have stereo output ? Do you need a special cable? It looks like I could hook up the memory card slot, is it worth it? If anyone knows any of this, or would like to offer some advice please LMK. It looks great with the s-video cable, and sounds good when I turn my stereo to surround sound. Blazing Star rules !

The select up/down is not cyclable so you have to have up and down connected. On the jamma connector that fits onto the Mvs board pin d(lowercase)(down) and 26 (up) have to be wired up. If you take a wire from each of these and touch it to an earth (pins A,1,B,2,e,27,f,28) you will move between slots , though adding a button would make it easier to the front of the supergun for both

No you dont need a special cable as it all comes through the jamma harness

I suppose it depends on if you have a Home system as well. Does the MVS hold its memory when switched off?

If you can get a RGB TV then that is even better.

Have fun

Are you using the joystick port built into the 6 slot board or one built into the SuperGun?

Select should work, otherwise you could wire in a select button from the JAMMA harness....

I'm useing the cd style pad hooked directly to the MVS board. When I go into test mode and check the pad conection everything is fine except that A and select reister as the same thing ? Do all sticks do this ? It wont cycle through the 6 slots when I press select. Does that work for everyone else ? Is there something easy to do ? I can just let it cycle through them on its own, but that's not real convienient. I don't have any real experience in wireing. Can MAS make a Neo-Geo joystick that has the select button and 4 button layout ?
Thanks.

The select button on the Super Nova sticks is wired to the coin slot, but the select button on Neo Geo sticks attached directly to the board will operate immediately for multiple game selection.

You must first go into the test menu and settings for the 6-slot itself to enable free game selection. Otherwise, the select button on the Neo stick will only work when you have first put a coin in the game with the Super Nova stick.
