"diarios de motocicleta"

It's about Che Guevara's trip in S.America according to what He wrote
no more, no less
the director wisely avoid any political message and slogan
just focused about a young man's changings

you like "el Che" or you dont like him, go watch this movie nonetheless
It's a puch in the stomach, a "trip"and funny as well
.....honestily some tears dropped off my eyes at the end
but that's just me

sorry, atm I just have London cinema's link
I'll find something else

great
I can't stop watching the trailer

on a side note
I wish everybody to speak spanish cause there's nothing funnier on earth than the argentinan dialect
Every time Granado said stuff like "la concha de tu hermana" or "pendejo de mierda" I rolled laughing on the floor

Granado is very, very often in my hometown (Napoli/Naples) cause of an old girlfriend
I met him in person in a book stores where He presented his book, and the man is funny as hell, exactly like in the movie

I also talked with him about everything but politics(like many youngs attracted by symbols more than ideology.....but you know now "el Che" is a businness)
and He told me how a bit of a sissy Ernesto sometimes was, He didn't like to dance, He was extremely polite with chicks
and more of that, He used to put sugar into "mate"(a blasphemy for argentinan people)

I remember I saw a trailer for this while sitting with a bunch of liberal college kids in Bloomington IN a couple months ago. Their reaction was fairly humerous.

The movie does sound interesting though.

Yup, It`s a good film, I saw it the other day at a film festival here in Finland.
Like you said, It`s good that the director didn`t include any political themes,
cause they would have been lame & out of place, considering that at the time he wasn`t the guerilla, but a med school graduate, out for adventure. Great scenery too.

edit:

LOL
if I kept what originally said I woulda made fool of myself
I always forget you guys in the US refer to the "liberals" as leftwing, while in Europe is exactly the opposite

Having read the 754 paged Biography on Ernesto "Che" Guevara along with his own works {Guerrilla Warfare} I would find such a film intriguing, especially since the Biography by John Lee Anderson {ISBN 0-8021-3558-7} had several chapters that talked exclusively on that part of his life from when he left the Guevara-Lynch household in Argentina for his days of high adventure, only later to end up the historical revolutionary he is today. *Too bad I don't live near any cinemas showing the film though. :( ---Maybe this one will get a DVD release. *shit if it wasn't for respecting that he was anti-consumeristic stance on things I'd buy a shirt with him on it like so many others, but to do so would be a slap in the face to a True Revolutionary.
