From my limited research the Japanese AES version did not come with the link cable in it's case.(read on)
NOS English AES carts should come with a link cable,.but I haven't heard of anyone who has bought one out of the Neo Store(lately) that has mentioned a Cable being in the game or if it was missing.(
(IMO)An English version, if it's missing the cable "if used" then it's incomplete...(though this is subject to change as new info is provided.)
When someone buys a English Version Riding Hero NOS and looks to see if it has the cable, I would wish that they post if it was missing the cable.
That may change things to the point that it was only put in certain runs of the cart.
(and more info would be at hand)
Thus meaning it could be in the Japanese version too.
It seems NO-ONE on this site has ever bought a NEW/NOS Japanese Riding Hero AES version since I get no answers to my question if their game has the cable.
The used English AES Riding Hero I bought off Ebay had the cable.
(In Glossary/info I got changed)
Link-Up Feature
Several of the early Neo Geo AES releases featured a socket on top of the home cartridge that allowed two home systems with the same cartridge to be linked together for up to 4-player action. For a long time there was a belief that no such cables were made, however a number were created in included beneath the trays of at least some link-up games (Riding Hero is the confirmed game, see picture..
The three games were League Bowling, Riding Hero, and Thrash Rally. For an extended discussion about the Link-Up Feature, please see ..
