who else here thinks this guy kicks ass?
i just finished watching "the rundown" and he pratically kicked The Rock's ass in that movie (not in general, just literally that one part he fights the Rock in)
but to me, from movies like TMNT2 or Surf Ninjas or even Red Sonja (hell, he was even in "the Last Dragon"), to later movies like the one above, this guy still impresses me...anyone else want to add something to this?

Haven't seen him since Surf Ninjas, but I always enjoyed his work.

He's also on an episode of Kung Fu: The Legend Continues .

I didn't know that was him as Akuma on SF The Movie arcade. Got a pic of him?

i saw on some site recently (might not've been updated for the last 3 years) that he was inducted to the International Martials Arts hall of fame or some junk along with his dad and had recently been focusing on Muy Thai kick boxing.

My favorite moments involving him:

-"KWANSU DUDES!"

-"Who's tall, dark, wears an eyepatch and always seems to be on our butts??!!"
"Do you know how easily you two would've been killed?"
"Oh great. Why don't you give yourself a big pat on the back?"

-"Listen!!! If you swing that thing at me one more time, I'm gonna kick your butt!!!!"

-Keno -" HOLD IT!!!! "
Bandit "Who are you? Security??
Keno - "Actually..I'm a...um...pizza delivery???

I enjoy this guy as well as Cary Hiroyuki Tagawa and Mark Decascos. He kicked ass in the Rundown!

I would have to say that along with Mark Decascos he is probabley one of the best underdogs in martial arts cinema. If these guys were in a movie directed by Donnie Yen it would be out of control!
There is an Ernie Reyes Karate school by my house it has pictures of him coreographing the fight scenes in TMNT 2.

Only The Strong. All about the Capoeira. I still got that movie somewhere when I recorded it off HBO years ago on a blank tape.

I forgot what was that song that Capoeira fighters sing?

Only the Strong is one of my favorite Martial Arts movies. I'm pissed it's not out on DVD. The song you speak of (sorry my friend has my sound track right now) Bona Na Way. I know that is the wrong spelling of it but thats what it sounds like they are saying. I have that on the Only the stron sound track and an cd called Beats of Africa. Oh and the Fight Coriagropher in this movie. Frank Dux :buttrock: the man of mystery.

As far as seeing Ernie's Name in SFTM I could not find it again but you can see it in his standing pose that it is him.
