serial numbers

Why do some mvs games have scratched serial numbers. I have a ss2 with scratched numbers. I looked inside ss2 and it does not look like a bootleg. What are reasons for scratching off the serial numbers. Thank You!

Tru dat. I just wish peeps would take 5 mins and read teh FAQs when they join the group for everyones benefit....of course i'm highly caffinated right now too.. :loco: so don't take anything the wrong way. :spock:
