Well, the name says it all. It should be something similar to this:

supply.jpg

A switching power supply with something similar to 12V 2.5A , -5V 1A, +5V 15A (with voltage regulator for +5V). To be used mostly with MVS but also some other boards such as CPS1 or CPS2. Also it must accept 220V input.

To be shipped via regular air-mail to Spain and I prefer to pay with Paypal. I'm quite in a hurry to get it. Please quote me a price including shipping.

You can check my ebay feedback here:

So far I've traded in this board with:
Ocsmod, Rugal2000, Ilsphish, Shiftyfink, Big Bear, Nitro777, Talen, ComBoMaster, Fogueman, Takuman, Crebou, Winston Goh, Gamefan
with no problem so far.

PM, e-mail or reply.

Thanks a lot.

Just use a computer power supply - it'll do the job just as well (usually better) than an expensive arcade PSU.

So far, I've made 10 superguns (all with PC power supplies) and had zero problems with them :)

Thanks for the advice. The problem is that my supergun is designed to be used with one of those arcade PSU's, so a PC one doesn't fit at all in the case. In fact I tried (with my supergun's case opened) an old AT PC PSU I had, and at first it worked well, but after a while it started to have problems (resets, graphics glitches, not working, etc.). However I'll try it with another old AT I have and a not so old ATX (I managed to power it up with a bridge, I could add a switch there anyway.

In any case I've arranged a brand new arcade PSU that will ship soon.

Sorry for the stupid question but you haven't tried to put the AT PSU with its metal case in the supergun, have you?

I mean, it's strange that the PSU PCB doesn't fit the supergun case...

I will ship your PSU and forward you the receipt tomorrow.

I will include some fork connector and a power cable for it as well.

Nope, my supergun's case is rather small and the original PSU barely fits. A PC one is bigger and wouldn't fit at all (maybe if I removed its case it would, haven't tried that). Check a pic of a case like it:

In any case I've just tried the PC ones I had laying around and they don't work well. With the other AT one I just get a black screen, and with the ATX a lot of graphical glitches. I checked the voltages and were like 5.14V and 11.80V. I'm using an old board for testing, and I installed some fuses inside my supergun for this tests, and I plan on keeping them for use when the PSU from Winston.

Do you think I have a more serious problem in my supergun, that could have damaged my boards? Or that those PC PSUs don't work well, being rather old? I don't think I'll be able to buy a new PC AT PSU, all that there is know it is ATX.

I'll be pasting this in the Tech support forum.
