I was fighting Iori, the regular one and he did the special move that he rushes you and scratches you but right after that he did that special that he throws thoses purple flames from above.I'm sorry as I dont know the names of these moves but Ijust wanted to ask how do you link those specials together? How do you even do his purple flame special?

Yaotome (QCF, HCB+A/C), and when the last hit hits, you perform the Saika followup (QCFx4+AC), you need 2 power stocks for this.

He is talking about SNK vs Capcom, not King of Fighters 2000.

try rotating the stick forward and just before the exploding purple flames press A+C while the rotate stops in the direction you face.

Works 9 out of 10 for me, just keep on practising.

I've tried for 10 min straight a couple times, and can't do this.

Do I need to do the (QCFx4+AC) during the last hit? That's alot of shit to do in such little time. Sounds inhuman to me.

Ok I tried it again tonite... I fucking give up.

It's hard but not impossible. As soon as the Maiden Masher hits wait one or two seconds then start doing:

QCF's over and over

HCF's over and over

Rotating the stick 360 like mad, over and over

Then as soon as he attaches his two hands into your opponents body press the two punch buttons, but dont stop moving the stick.

When the Yaotome's last hits are... hitting, perform the QCFx4, and when the last hit... hits, press AC, you have to get the timing so that it all works like a single "technique", and if you perform more than 4 QCF, you shouldn't worry.

Mushiki, your persistance in assistance is pleasing... I will continue to try. If I fail, expect anger. If I pass, expect happiness.

Electro:

don't give up guy, just spend some time studying Iori's Ya Otome animation until you get used to the time it takes for all 8 hits to connect...

once you're comfy enough with it do like most folks say and start the joystick motions during the Ya Otome and hit AC on the last hit...experiment with the timing of the AC and I'm sure you'll be fine...

I wasn't able to start pulling off the followup myself until SVC and I'm still only 50/50 with it...

Such a basic move!!! you could do it if you take the game serious.

Here's a hint, after the first explosion you can do the qcf*4 A+C whilst they are falling to the ground, you have all day to prepare. Just do the motions while he's in the midst of it, make sure your on your final qcf motion while he explodes them then puch A+C

If you can't do the the fireball motion then your in trouble (joke).

Effective move for iori is to use hcb,f+P, then run & press C hcb+K

Or run C, fA, qcf,hcb.

The game really is not hard if you put the effort in. Effort means things get easier. But first how do you use your effort, do you use your effort in the right way!

I, too, have a lot of trouble getting Iori's followup to work consistently. What compounds it even more is that the 3-4 games that it is in, you have to hit AC at different times.

For SNK Vs. Capcom, I usually just wait until Iori grabs the guy's head, do the motions qcf, qcf, qcf..the last one I do kind of slow..then, hit AC along with it. It usually will work most of the time. Just remember: you have to finish it before he makes the explosion...otherwise it won't work!!

Any easier way to "listen" for the right time to start doing it is when he says "Toshite...SHINEE!!" Start right when he says "toshite"...it should work. Keep practicing! And, remember, on Chaos...it's a FREE super! You can do it whenever you do Iori's Maiden Masher and not use another power gauge! On the KOF's..well, it does take another gauge level to perform.

If you time the 4th qcf+AC exactly at the last hit, it should work. Please note I'm going by KOF 2002.
