Where exactly did NGF stamp all the inserts and manuals of NGH carts? Are all inserts they stamped also fake re-printed inserts, or did they sometimes put their stamp on original product?

They stamped & stickered their logo randomly throught manuals @ first and then they would do it on the 1st and last page only as time passed.
They stickered and or stamped the inserts on the back of authentics as well as the BOGUS ones they repro'ed.

I received a stamped original homecart game in a trade. There was a stamp on the back of the insert, and on the inside back of the manual.

Luckily the stamp on the manual did not cover anything but empty space.

So I grabbed a new #2 pencil and started erasing like a mad man. About halfway through the eraser the manual stamp was gone without a trace.

The Security Sticker that would state VOID all over if removed. Then when that problem was repaired with the use of a lil' GGOGONE(to a certain degree),they went to using INK STAMPS.I believe the INK STAMP was Chris Ray's brain child
Such a bizarre philosophy it was...

Didn't they also write their names in marker on the inside of the carts when they did conversions? I think I saw a photo of that in some thread.

Of all the things they've done, that has to be the most bizzare.

Not to mention HIDING their names in re-designs of inserts. Someone post a pic of Shock Troopers 2...or was it a Shock Troopers 1 conversion?

To me, hiding their names is scarier than stamping things....someone around here has a pic of it! It'll definitely get you all worried lol

Well, I got a NGH cart a few months ago in a trade, and nothing about it seemed questionable then. Yesterday a few drops of water got on the case, so to be safe I took the insert out to make sure no water got on it, when I turned the insert over I see an NGF inked stamp on the back side of the insert. You can't see it from the front. Had I not took the insert out I never would have seen it. The manual has no stamping anywhere, and neither does the cart itself. The insert is original, no NGF crap on the front or any sign that it is a reprint. Just pisses me off to find that stamp on the insert back. Why the hell did these guys stamp original product like that? Luckily everything is original, and the manual and cart aren't defaced, and unless you remove the insert you can't see the stamping. Still it baffles me as to why they would do this. What is the point of putting a stamp on an original insert where nobody can see it. I don't suppose there is any possible way of removing the ink stamp without damaging the insert is there. What about value? Does this devalue the cart? Thankfully this is the only cart I received from this person, and I'm sure they didn't know it was stamped, hell if I wasn't checking for water spots I never would have seen it myself. oh_no

Since many people do care about having stamp-free carts, and stamps could be considered as a flaw, certainly stamps could affect the value of the cart, specially if they are ink stamps (non removable) and they are NGF.

However, inserts can be replaced and the value will not drop drastically, will depend on the game and the potential buyer (BTW which game was it?).

BTW: Do NOT try to remove the ink stamp, you will end up damaging the insert and that would be even worst. Put your insert back in the box and pretend that nothing happened.

Finally, no liquids and food should be near your carts wink :p

Those ink stamps and or stickers completely devalue the game unless you can replace with another authentic insert.Any insert they got ahold of .you might as well consider it a Homebrew.
Even authentic inserts with very minor wear damage on them will hold some value so it is very important to inspect a cartridge upon your receipt of it or ask the seller to inspect it.

You might as well go ahead and try to erase the one on the insert. It helps that the insert paper is somewhat glossy. So the ink hasn't seeped all the way through the fibers.

So your insert would have some rub marks on the back. At least when someone asks if it's NGF stamped, you can say no.

There used to be a NGF stamp on the blank manual page below. It was below the faint Neo Geo logo. All you can see now is faint eraser rub marks. It looks alot better than it did before.

This is an example of the "trickle down theory".
Those of us who despised this practice of vandalizing authentic goods will eventually end up with merchanidse of this ilk in our possession because of the morons who were receptive to it.
Those morons who supported NGF our the same individuals who end up selling their garbage to very cheap to another fan probably with their knowledge and then as time passes ,so does it's history and we end up with this type of thread.
WE CAN NEVER EVER SUPPORT OR HAVE NO CONCERN OVER THIS TYPE OF PRACTICE AGAIN for this reason...

Well, I for one will be inspecting every cart I get from now on, top to bottom. If anyone has an original KOF 99 US insert to sell, please let me know. Even though mine is original, I want nothing to do with any stamped product.
