Replay Magazine reported today that SNK of Japan will be undergoing more changes following the closure of their U.S. branch of operations and their purchase by pachinko giant, Aruze. In the works is a merger with Aruze and Sigma, a physical relocation, and changes to the company's R&D process for games.
Several development teams are going to be released. In addition, the entire "Team" stance will be redeveloped into a more modular system of organization. Also, in a strange development, 10 former Sega R&D staffers have been hired.

Aruze appears to have no plans to discontinue their arcade development (after all, that is what they bought SNK for in the first place) and several new titles have been confirmed: Ghost Lop, Neo Turf Golf, Mark of the Wolves 2 and Metal Slug 4. Apple Systems, the U.S. distributor for SNK arcades, has confirmed that some or all of these titles will be released in the United States.

What a load of crap.

I would love to see MOTW 2 come to the US but it might not happen. I don't know if its true or not, but only time can tell us.

Ghost Lop was featured from back in 1996 in Neo Geo Freak magazine. Seriously - it could be a very good game. But it's a puzzle game. SNK made a shitload of Puzzle Games that they never put into final production. I guess they are all the same kind of. After Aruze took over we got a lot of crap, I mean proto games, that SNK on its own would never have released, like Zupapa, NitD, Ganryu...

If Aruze were still pushing the buttons, we'd have MVS releases of Ghostlop, Pair Pair Wars, Fun Fun Bros, Warlock of the Fates, Brikenger, and more. Aruze didn't care if the game was a finished product or not. Just push the fucking things out.

I also said hopefully MOTW2 comes true too.

i am not sure if the rumor is true or not but iheard the motw 2 was a half finished game when snk went under but then again we got metal slug lets hope we can see mark of the wolves 2 hopfully it will feature some older characters from old fatal fury games.

i am not sure if the rumor is true or not but iheard the motw 2 was a half finished game when snk went under but then again we got metal slug lets hope we can see mark of the wolves 2 hopfully it will feature some older characters from old fatal fury games.

I heard the same thing about Samourai Shodown5. And I'm sure that it's true
