Does anyone have a set of NEO-MVH MV4 board schematics?
If you need more info than that, let me know.
Jpegs would be fine, if they are readable.
Please help if you can.
Thank you.

Did you look at the PDF manual over at www.hardmvs.com ?

that probably has them in it.

What for?

I've repaired over 20 board without the need for schematics. Post what problem you are having.

LOL... looking at the dates. You pretty much could have done some reverse engineering in that timeframe.. :D

I may not need them either, but was hoping to find them nonetheless.

I've had several mvs boards since that 2k3 post, but have enough problematic leftovers for a complete set.
One of my co-workers is currently taking a look at it.
Additionally, I was hoping to find them to add to my schematics for work.

I dont think they exist in the public domain, I saw some hand written stuff once (trying to remember where) it was like the engineers were sworn to secrecy.
There have been numerous requests/searches but nothing turned up.
Rare as rocking horse shit. We could always draft our own.

Well, the proper schematics would be confidential information. Given that many of us have boards though, it's hardly well hidden.

This thread is stupid.

I've repaired plenty of boards and documented the fixes in this forum. Any tech that MUST have schematics to fix a board isn't worth his own use of oxygen.

Read the forum, search for keywords, post a question with the issues you are having, etc. You will get an answer.

Schematics for t3h Neo are rare. Anyone that has 'em isn't talking as they have them in strict confidence.

I have a set for the 1F (or was it 1FZ) if anyone is interested. Kind of hard to read, but like channelmaniac said, kinda worthless...

If something goes wrong with one of SNK's custom ICs, there isn't much you can do about it except for replace it. Everything else is pretty simple as far as testing goes.

I've given the schematic to a few people in hopes that someone would re-do them in Visio and then post a nice clean easy-to-read PDF online. I'd do it but I just don't have that kind of free time. Anyone else want to do it?

The use of schems may speed things up, for instance a continuety problem causing a Z80 error, it is easier imho to check with a meter the data and address lines knowing the associated ram and SM1 rom pin outs

Meh...

Pinouts are what datasheets are for.

Even if it's an oddball ROM there are industry standardized pinouts that work for a majority of ROMs/OTP ROMs/EPROMs and even a large amout of Flash ROMs. Yes, there are some oddball ones but even a large percentage of those map most pins the same way.

Yes, schematics are helpful... but there are other resources that can be used. A lack of a schematic shouldn't be an hindrance in most cases, unless you have a smoked part that you can read the writing or color codes on. If that happens you can always post in a forum somewhere and find an answer in most cases.

Yes, but for someone to document the connects between proc, ram and rom may be usefull for further trouble shooting
