So I have a Vogatek mk2 and a Nec xm37.
All I'll need is 5 bnc cables and a power supply for this right? (oh yeah and a scart cable)
If so Ill take it send me your paypal address.

I still dont understand why it needs a power supply, Ive hacked scart cables to a db25 connector (for pvm monitor) and it works just fine but this looks alot tougher.

Thats correct, all you need is a 5 BNC cable and a power supply.

The reason why you need a power supply is because SCART spec doesn't send HV Sync or composite sync, only composite video. The vast majority of PVM monitors cannot sync off composite video.

I PM'ed you my paypal addy.

Do you still need the DC Wall Adapter if your monitor can get the sync from the Composite Video signal? Thx \o/.k.

Is possible to modify or add other features in the next batches?

The link for the J SCART -> Euro SCART does the opposite, it allows you to convert Euro SCART to Japanese SCART to use with the XRGB, etc. It looks like the board has enought space to add another SCART socket that could be wired for the Japanese SCART pinout, this will also be cheaper and better than get another cable to change the SCART pinout.

I think the major part of PVM monitors can use the composite video as sync, at least mines do, so having another BNC for the composite video would also allow the board to work without any power adapter.

Thank you,

\o/.k.

Perhaps I'll do another version of this board in the future but right now I plan on doing one more mass production of this board and move on to other projects I have in the works (a scart->yuv board and a supergun).

Dude, if you make a supergun that's got an RGB --> YUV onboard as well as 2 DB15's for controllers and some kind of molex connector for power, I'd be down to pick a couple up.

I was actually planning on a USB connector for controllers (PS3/Xbox360 compatible). And of course the RGB->YUV. For power, it's going to be a offline power supply.

I haven't got a power supply for it yet... plus (as mentioned) the link is for EURScart to JP and not the other way around. With travel for work I haven't had any time to try it out :(

I'll get back to you though.. I can say that this converter is really well put together and FusionITR was really easy to work with/purchase from.
