Does anyone know if these carts allow you to adjust the soft-dip game settings like difficulty, lives, coins, etc?

I've heard these damage the MVS; what kind of damage (if any) and how common is this, or is there any proof/documented cases?

I'm worried about it causing damage to an MVS with extended use. I'm looking at leaving this thing on all day for like 12 hours, so my daughter's friends can pump quarters into it...which is why I'm concerned.

Also, once you start a game, do you have to shut down the cab to quit, or is there a way to get back to the menu?

I have one and it allows me to play 150 different versions of KOF 2000. Amazing deal!

Just pick the game first and allow it to load, then press the test button to go into the softdip menu.

Or don't buy bootlegs. Then you can adjust whatever the original manufacturer intended.

You might as well just play the games on MAME if you're going to play one of those things. I don't know how old your daughter is, but you may not want her and her friends to be exposed to the violence and "bounciness" of a lot of Neo games, it might be better for you to rig up a PC into your cab. Then you can load whatever games you want onto it, and not expose them to any games that might be too mature for them.

lolololololol I hope you're not serious. I'd hardly call anything on the Neo "too mature".

And why would I spend a bunch of money building a MAME box when I already have a Neo cab? And for you whiners who like to say "oh lawd, why are joos buying a bootleg? Suppart the legit carts, mayne.": I also have most of the original carts (if you take off all of the KOF dupes) that are on the 150-in-1 cart. I just want the 150 for convenience purposes and space-saving. Having 50 MVS carts taking up space and constantly having to open the back of the cab to swap them out is way less convenient than just having ONE CART.

Plus, if I get the 150-in-1, I'll be selling all of my legit single carts here probably. So, you guys get a shot at owning the legits and I get to save space / effort. Sounds pretty win-win to me.

There are games on that cart that are hacked.. and those hacks contain nudity and other things that may be too mature for kids.

If it is anything like the 120-in-1 you flip the hard dips 4&5 and turn the system on. The game menu changes so that you can now set the difficulty and lives per game. Then when you are done turn off the the dips an you are set. Free Play is still set in the service menu of the MVS. Just remember if you have multiple carts in your MVS and set free play, also set Game Select to "Free".

You can see the vague instructions at the bottom of the label:

Is this confirmed on the 150-in-1 or are you just speculating that the roms on the 150 "could" be hacked to include nudity?

So if your daughter's old enough for the tits and violence, can I get her number?

Never said she was. I also asked if anyone has any concrete proof or knowledge that any of the titles on the 150-in-1 even have nudity hacks.

Just King of Gladiator. And only a small handful of the girls at that -- I think just Mai and Shermie and the clothes only disappear or partially disappear for a handful of moves.

Not enough to be bothered about really unless you are Amish...but if that was the case, this would be a non issue anyway.

LOL at the nudity concern from some of these members...your parents must not have signed the family life class approval form back in the day. Funny, not worried about the fatalities in SS5, just be concerned about the minor cheesy nudity in one game on a cart that has 150 games and is most likely not to even get played enough to find out that 2 chars out of the 30 has a FEW frames of cheesy nudity.

LOL at the misplaced concern Joshua has for what other people do with their money...

Soft dips are available, just make sure to play that game after the soft dip settings are changed and then exit back to the game menu and then the settings are saved.

Hey man, "LOL" all you want, I gave that guy useful information and, like you, he acted like a fucking douche nozzle.

Not everyone is aware of every game on the Neo, and I would not want my daughter (or son) to be exposed to some of the graphic violence in a few select Neo games. The nudity is secondary, but I would have a problem with my daughter seeing giant bouncing tits, covered or not, before she's hit puberty. But then again, if I had a daughter, I would care about her mental and physical well-being.

I didn't know how old this little girl is, what kind of cab or how many carts he has, or whether or not he wanted her to be spinning around a stripper pole when she turns 18.

I gave him a legitimate option to expose his kid to a lot of great arcade games for a negligible cost. He obviously doesn't care about whether or not his shit's real, so there is no difference between giving some bootlegger money or spending it on a used PC off Craig's List and giving his kid a lot more than just Neo Games.
