CPS3 Question

Is this a possible mod that had been done to my CPS3 before I bought it? If so, what is this possible mod used for?

Or is this normal on the CPS3 MB? The white wire to the right is soldered underneath where the security cart goes.

Are there any good sites with a lot of CPS3 info,etc?

Interesting, did this come from Cosmic Co? It looks like someone did a region hack... Not 100% sure, but it looks like it to me,

I got it from a mate of mine in Sydney. He originally got it from a vendor down there, and I'm not sure where the vendor got it from???

I was also thinking a possible region hack as well, but not sure either.... ???

will probably be hard to find an US or Asian CPS3 that's just the security cart and CDROM...

I've got a CPS3 system, and it has the exact same modifications. I got it from coinopexpress.com, and it's a SF3: 3rd Strike set. I just assumed it was a mod that had to be done to convert the motherboard for SF3, since not all CPS3 games are plug-n-play like CPS2. It's Japanese too.
