Hey M,

Did you ever do any characters from Final Fantasy Tactics? I love that game.

Thanks for the comments, gang!

Xian Xi: Yup, I've done a Black Mage from the PSX version and a Viera Red Mage from the GBA one. I also did several 2.5D figures from the PSX game, but those are basically just upright drawings with a few pseudo-3D elements. I don't have any immediate plans to do anything else from those games, but as I sculpt Final Fantasy figures fairly often, it's likely I'll be drinking from that particular pool again sometime in the future.

You can view all of my Square-Enix artwork here:

--------------------------------------------------------------------

This is a WIP Mecaturtle from the original NES Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles video game. Basically, he's an evil, off-color ninja turtle that transforms into a death droid. The turtle form is farther along than the robot, but they're both nearing completion. The robot will be floating mid-air, on a transparent stand--I'm probably going to add some rocket thrust flames to either his feet of back (maybe both) and possibly a homing missile suspended in the air in front of him.

Looking through all of your portfolio always makes me want a lot of these guys. This is just plain stellar. The mothman looks JUST like I'd imagine! And fuck that guy, don't you have to get a certain soul from him?

ookitarepanda: Yup, Mothman has a valuable Soul in Dawn of Sorrow; it increases the amount of experience you get from slain foes. I didn't mention it on the web page because I arbitrarily decided to focus on the on the Portrait of Ruin incarnation.

------------------------------------------------------------

I'm in sheer awe of your artistic talent. Can't believe the detail you're able to create on such a small scale.

Dude, your work is totally awesome and original! Mothman and Weed Killer are my favs. I remember having Swamp Thing action figures as a kid, Weed Killer was one of my favorites. Gee the 90's were so fucking awesome. Again, awesome work!

I always wanted Weed Killer as a kid, but I only had Snare Arm Swamp Thing. I actually saw a loose Weed Killer at the local thrift shop several months back, but he didn't have his Bogsucker mask, which is half the fun of the Un-Men, so I didn't pick him up. Kinda wish I had now, just so I would've been able to take a scale comparison pic.

Weed Killer & Terror Tank were both made for a "Past Toys Reborn Contest" at Figure Realm. You can see all of the entries here:

Gowcaiser: No, I don't do it for a living, it's just for fun/artistic expression. I collect toys, play video games, and like to sculpt, so making video game figures kind of combines all three activities into one uber hobby.

That Domingo is great, it's nice to see a Shining Force figure among your other masterpieces.

It'd be awesome to see some other characters, like Kiwi, Posessed Galam, Zeon, or a Gizmo.

Very nice work.

DeadPixels: A guy I know over at Spawn.com requested I make Domingo, and seeing as how I'm currently playing the GBA remake, I was in the right mind-set for it, so I did. I might make some more Shining Force characters, there's a lot of cool designs in the game.

Are the characters you mentioned from the second Genesis game? I recognize the Gizmo name, but not the others. I only have, and have played all the way through, the first Shining Force.

A Bandersnatch from Resident Evil Code:Veronica. While it looks completely tan, it's actually two shades of brown, along with a bit of green, in person--I just could not get the paint to photograph properly with flash, natural light, or a lamp.
