RULES FOR TOURNAMENT GAMES:

Tournament Game Rules/Regulations/System Used:

For all tournaments the "WTF LAIN RULE!" will strongly be enforced. Ask if you need details. It is explained below though.

PLEASE NOTE:
* NO, and I repeat, NO Money Matches (MMs)...are to be had during the tournament (unless I say otherwise). PLEASE! I want this tournament to flow as smoothly as possible. Do MMs before/after the tournament. If I call your name and you don't come, and I find out you were MMing you'll get disqualified and sent to losers/put out of the tournament if you were in losers.

You get 2 mins to report to your match. If you fail to report in that time frame, and DIDN'T TELL ME WHERE YOU WERE BEFORE HAND, that's an auto sent to Losers or DQ from the tournament. This will now be know as the "WTF Lain!!!" rule :)

If you're money matching on a brawl setup (and this applies to all fighting games ran at this event), and it's needed for a tournament match (you shouldn't be MMing during the tournament anyways), you'll be kicked off of that setup. No waiting til the end of match.

Hope everyone understands this. :)

Nah, just helping out digimonemporer he was having troubles posting it up here.

I checked his account, digimonemporer (it took me a sec because I initially mistakenly corrected "emperor") appears to be all-set. I've even doubly checked and cleared his account.

Also, I'm going to be completely shameless and say Travelocity has a round trip TPA-LAX for under $350 :emb:

I might come depending on who else decides to show up. Prepare to be disappointed. I'm probably the only Ohio member on this forum willing to drive out of the town they live in.

Garou competition is tempting.... I'll see if I can get Greedostick or Terry330 to come with, if I end up going.

Just to clarify, anyone's free to play any game in the place at any time (so long as it isn't being used in competitions) correct?
What kind of cab will Garou be in/what sort of joystick hardware is in said cab?

I'm going to assume that Garou will be on the PS2 as stated in the first post unless someone is willing to bring a neo set up.

Mike,

I would be all over it if I could, but Amanda would kill me if I went and this month is going to be crazy busy at work. :(

Yeah, this is going to be a really nice event.

I can't say I play SNK, but I started playing KOF 98 and 2002 literally two weeks ago and I really like it. I hope XIII isn't complete shit like XII and can sustain a tourney audience on a small, dedicated scale (say a 30-man tourney at a major)

Also Arcade Legends is a FANTASTIC place. Sadly most of the machines will be out to make room for the tourney, just Jesse (owner) is a great guy and deserves community support. He's opening up again at a new venue after this with more of a focus on fighting games.

If you can make it, please come out ;) Or check the stream if not. Sunday will have a ton of variety and be a lot more than Slow Fighter IV.

Also, you can't tell in the OP but there are Capcom tournies as well. SFIV will probably get between 60-90 people.
SFIV will be the main one (starting about noon) with a regional 5 on 5 event going on about 7
3s is Saturday

Sunday schedule has
Marvel (DC)
UMK3 (cabinet)
CvS2 (showase cabinet)
SF2:HDR (Playstation 3)
