Endless Duel is indeed badass, it took me awhile to find it. It's a shame you said no RPGs.. Shin Megami Tensei 2 was epic.

Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie: Amazing shooter with amazing visuals. The first stage has you fighting the gravity pull of black holes as your dodging bullets for god sakes. Tough as nails too.

Rendering Ranger: A contra-like shooter made by the same team who created the Turrican games. Great game play if you are into run and gun shooters. The holy grail of the Famicom in terms of price, will cost you around $200. The effects in the game are amazing, you won't believe this is a game for the Super Famicom.

Umihara Kawase: Wonderful platformer with one of a kind gameplay. Think school girl with a bionic commando arm, giant coy fish of doom, and a maze of platforms to navigate and swing through.

Doremi Fantasy: A more traditional platformer when compared to Umihara Kawase. A little too easy but has a wonderful atmosphere and some of the best graphics on the system as far as style is concerned. Reminds me of the Monster World series in this regard. Cutesy cartoon vibe.

The Firemen: Amazing game where you put out fires. Sounds totally boring but after you watch a video or play the rom, you will see what I mean. It was made buy a university student as a project and it was so good that it was discovered and became mass produced and licensed by Nintendo back in the the Super Famicom's heyday.

Clock Tower: I'm not into survival horror but this game is great if your into that kind of thing. Great atmosphere and the controls are smooth. Has a huge cult fan base. Much better than the Playstation version.

YouTube these titles then buy them. Pronto.

Definitely the firemen! I would recommend buying an English USA repro because the story is really cool.

Dezaemon is a really great JP only release. You can make your own shmups.

I need help, the only SFC games I have are:

Wrecking Crew '98: A competitive puzzle game. Seems confusing and dull, I don't really recommend it.

Lupin III: Densetsu no Hihou o Oe: It's a decent side-scrolling "find the exit" type of game. It has nice graphics, but the controls are a little clunky.

Sailor Moon: Yes, I own a Sailor Moon game. I used to watch the show before school as a kid, not knowing that it was typically a girls' show. :D It's an arcade style beat-'em-up, not a frilly dating sim, so that makes it okay right? The controls are good, so it's not a bad game.

One of the puzzle ones, Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon S: Kondowa Puzzle de Oshiokiyo was aweome. Has mouse control as well.

And not forgetting Dragonball Z Hyper Dimension.

^ Ghost Chaser Densei is awesome. My friend and I played the shit out of that game. Tons of juggles and I actually found an infinite glitch when fighting the Posioden character.

I'm saving up to buy Macross: SV. Also, check out the Go Go Ackman games.

Touga, SMT2 isn't in English is it?

While this never got a proper release for SNES, this one did make it to the US on the Virtual Console. Hudson didn't bother to translate the game but as I understand it there's very little Japanese text to worry about.

I don't know if I have a top 10 that doesn't include RPGs and some of my choices echo what some others have already listed such as Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie and Gundam Wing: Endless Duel. The SFC release of Panic Bomber was quite entertaining to play and rather unfortunate it never got released stateside. I would have said Rockman & Bass but we got that on GBA. Other than that I'm drawing a blank.

Now I gotta go in the basement and find my box of SFC games. :p

Art of Fighting 2. I was SO FUCKING PISSED that never came to the US back in '94. And it's actually a pretty good port.

That's the only game on my list, because that's the only game I really cared about that we didn't get.

Here are some I've enjoyed that come to mind:

Kunio's Dodgeball - has lots of added features - more super throws, dynamic levels (levels with special features that can be turned on or off), multiplayer, and the music for the England level

Spriggan Powered - before Radiant Silvergun has the scrape bonus, this game had the "risky tech". Pretty shooter, cool music. Seemed like a Saturn game.

Some of the Goemon games (I think 3 was japanese intensive... and 2 and 4 were more platformy if I remember right).

I'm surely forgetting some. Always love reading people's favorites in this topic. :)
