Nice Panel. what kind of enclosure are you gonna use? I'm always looking at new ideas and ways to enclose superguns...

There's no enclosure. There's a bottom half to that panel that it sits in. That's where all the connections will be.

ahh nice nice. so you're gonna put the power supply and everything into the bottom half. post up a pic of the bottom have later if you can.

just so i'm clear, did you make the bottom half or does it just come with that specific type of control panel? if so I want one lol

I did not make the bottom half. No room for a PSU inside, so I've made essentially a huge AC/DC desktop style power supply.

Very nice looking art on that panel. Interested to see how it will all turn out. Something like a Boardmaster?

I'm not familiar with that "brand". But if it looks anything like a Vega Jr. Then it'll probably be similar.

Ah so you went with what you were discussing in the other thread.

Having went with that now, would you use that again you think?

probably not, 2 extra pins aren't being used. Those 4 pin microphone jacks would be ideal.

That's great artwork! Very nice choice for colors on the sticks and buttons too. I look forward to seeing some final pics when it is done.

Are you going to be doing this one with a stand like you did with the Big Red Panel?

*stlll need to add component converter when I get the funds.

I'm using a VGA encoder, pretty cool as it has onboard menu for picture size correction, also allows games with weird refresh rates (IE Raiden Fighters) to be playable. It's definitely not perfect, sometimes has to be reset. But for 50 bucks, I'm happy. Had to wire up remote menu control (soldered wires from bottom of board to momentary pushbuttons mounted on backside of unit), because I wasn't about to open the damn thing up everytime something had to be adjusted.

I implemented the 4PDT buton change over switches, works as advertised. Took forever to wire this monster up.

Nice job man. I have one of those VGA encoders kicking around too. you got it from jammaboards.com? its really not too bad for $50

it actually had better compatibility then my jrok encoder until I got a sync cleaner.

It gets the job done. I'm still installing a regular encoder when I get around to it. I'll just add a toggle switch to power from one to the other depending on what I'm using the supergun with.
