MV1-AX
(No picture as of yet, but the same as an MV1A but with a soldered BIOS)

MV1-T:
(no picture as of yet, but looks like a MV1-F but the bios orientation is vertical instead of horizontal)

Now, as for the 2,4,6 slots on hardMVS it just lists them as MV2F, MV4F, MV6F, and I know for a fact there are certain variations on these. The one slots are easy but I still think theres one or two missing from that lot (pilfered from hardMVS), MV1H or something?

It'd be nice if we could list all the variations of MVS board out there that exist because that sure isn't all of them. For example my four slot has a perforated metal shell which you don't see as much as the solid shell ones, and the joystick ports are also on the rear of the motherboard - what model would that be?

I know there are 'large' and 'small' versions of the 2,4,6 slots I believe. Has anyone got more info - or does no-one care :crying:

Also MV1-T.

Looks like a MV1-F but the bios orientation is vertical instead of horizontal.

Would the smaller 4 slot be considered as a revision 2 of the board?

I swapped a 1C for my 1AX quite recently, the 1C was pretty cool due to its size, but I prefer a horizontal cart socket when its being fitted in a cab. I sold it recently and now I'm back to a 1A (where it all started), with a unibios 2.2 in.

The stock BIOS is pretty crap, not because of all the unibios features, the main flaw with it is the stupid test grid pattern which isn't completed on the right hand side, only the left. At least the unibios fixes this.

Most likely. Someone told me that on the older 4 slot the holes for the battery are farther apart so if you want to put a coin cell holder you need to extend it. On the newer 4 slot it's the same size as a 2 slot so the coin cell holder drops right in.

Forgive me, but I have yet to pull the boards from my cabs and do a thorough cleaning on them. Both seem to be the same board, so I only took pics of one. Hope this helps! :D

The board has NEO-MVH SLOT4 on it. (Edit: NEO-MVH MV4)

Pics! of all the variations of 2,4,6 :envy:

I think it's 2 versions for the 2 and 4 slot but I don't know about the 6 slot.

For the 2 slot one version has the dips by the jamma edge and the other has the dips on the top left side of the board.

Yer, mine has the dips on the side I'm pretty sure, I wonder if the perforated cover was because its cheaper to manufacture  its quite funny how the joystick ports are around the rear also.

It seems pretty small for a four slot so maybe its the second one, not sure.
I know all of them have a special model name though (something like MV4T or similar).

Its not particularly important, its just something to talk about :emb:

i have both two slots. ones a lot smaller than the other.

i dont remember whats different about the feature set. i think they both have the onboard mem card reader, headphone jacks, and support for credit leds.

my best guess is ones designed for the japanese cabinets and one for american.

the smaller 2 slot doesnt go in the big red correctly iirc. doesnt line up with the mem card/headphone plate.

ive also owned an mv1, 1f, and 1fs. the biggest difference is the length of the board, and the 1 has a metal cart holder.

Oh no, no guys, there is more than just two variations of the 2 slot board. I own a odd ball one that I stumbled on 2 years ago. I'm at work now so I'll snap pictures later.

Here's a strange 1 slot

Here is a picture of a uncommon MV2B 2lot mobo, notice there is no on board memory card slot but in its place there are the dual expansion ports typical for the other MVS motherboards

Here a pic of the two variations of the mini 4 slots MV4F (Bottom) and MV4FT (top). The MV4F is about one and a half inches longer and because of this the orientation of the connectors do not match up making the pcb NONINTERCHANGEABLE without hacking

Six slots are not for novice, ONLY the experienced so for beginners go 2 slots. If your broke go 1 slot. If you have more than just a few dollars and some time in with the hobby and done ACTUAL research go 4 slot.
