Does anyone else here think they should rebuild the Twin Towers?
Any big tower that they build on the site (eg the Freedom Tower) is probably going to end up being a target for terrorism anyway.

Wasn't the Freedom Tower supposed to be made out of glass? I don't even see how that's feasible.

It's commercial property, theyre rebuilding a new tower already with a section set aside for a memorial.

I remember being there in 05 and asking why it was still just a big
hole in the ground and they said it was because they didn't have the money to rebuild it.

There would have been little to no human life lost by hitting the Statue of Liberty (except the people in the plane). I could be wrong, but I think it was closed to the public going up during that time.

I'm still amazed they didn't go after the White House first. The President wasn't there, but as far as "leaving a mark", I think having it blown away would have been a huge one.

At the time of the cleanup, the Yankees and Mets were looking for a location for a new Ballpark...

You'd think they'd be the first ones to approve of a giant hand giving "the bird" to the rest of the world and namely terrorist the world over. I know I would had I lost someone at the WTC.
