icon30.gif Disney's The Hunchback of Notre Dame is badass

I love this movie so much...in what other Disney film do you have the villain singing of his eternal damnation for lusting after a Gypsy women? The opening scene is also aces.

Jason Alexander and co can eat a big fat dick and burn with Frollo in hell for the damn gargoyle shenanigans though...we usually skip the gargoyle musical number all together.

I honestly don't understand why Disney thought it necessary to have every goddamn movie from the mid-late 80s to the early 2000s feature a comic side character who spouts cultural references...it absolutely ruins some of the movies for me. I mean really, do we have to have Robin Williams sound like Robert Deniro and fifty other people in a two minute span?

lol yeah I've been watching too much Disney with my daughter.

lol @ that Fraser pic

Eh, I didn't take to Hercules at all...the whole Motown-in-Ancient-Greece vibe just didn't do anything for me and the art style was meh. Kickass level in KH though.

I just love how dark HoND is. All of the characters (sans gargoyles) are marvelously written and acted.

Also, I found out Peter Pan's secret to forever staying a child...he's autistic.

Watch the movie with that in mind and tell me I'm wrong, I DARES YA

I saw that movie when I was a kid, and I was very disappointed with the complete lack of explosions or Super Saiyans.

Thumbs up

The opening scene does rock, and the ending where the little girl leads quasi out of the cathedral is tear worthy but I like other disney movies better.

My personal fave is still beauty and the beast, saw it in the theaters back in '90 too, I was a wee lad then but I still remember it like if it was yesterday

Beauty and the Beast pr0l0gu3zzz:

Disney animated films made after Walt Disney's death are all geared towards adults.

The ones Disney himself was involved in were actually aimed for kids.

I meant that it was dark for a Disney movie...which honestly is still pretty dark.

I'll have to pick the book up now that I'm reading again.
