*price lowered!* F/S: Canon EOS 40D body & Tamron 28-300mm Lens

Hi guys, I have a Canon EOS 40D body complete in box with all paperwork etc, and it has only 2,049 actuations. The camera is in near mint condition and has been handled very carefully. This is a pro camera that can take up to 6fps in burst mode and is very feature packed. Can take pics upon request. Looking for $700 or best offer.

more info: http://www.bobatkins.com/photography..._review_1.html

(stock image)

I also have a nice Tamron 28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di VC LD Aspherical [IF] MACRO lens for canon EOS (EF mount) cameras. I purchased this lens new at a local Camera store, and I have taken less than 1,000 photos with it.

I am only thinking about selling it because I'm primarily a landscape photographer, so 28mm on the wide end isn't wide enough for me, making this lens a little impractical for my use. Otherwise this is one of the best "walkaround" lenses you could buy. The Vibration Compensation (Tamron's version of Canon's Image Stabilization) is excellent on this lens, it really helps you get clear shots even at the 300mm range.

I paid about $700 for this lens just last October... the lenses go for around $600 new now, so I'd like to get $500 for it, or best offer.

Here's a link that has more information on the lens:

http://www.bobatkins.com/photography...28-300_vc.html

And a stock image (not my image, but it's excactly the same as my lens):

I can take pics upon request, but rest assured that the lens is in near mint condition and works perfectly. It is also complete in the box with all the instructions and paperwork.

Another thing: The Tamron 6 year warranty has been registered under my name and is non-transferable, but I would be willing to send in the lens on your behalf anytime within the next 5+ years for warranty service if need be, as long as you pay the shipping costs.

If you want both the body and lens I will sell them together for only $1100!

Any photo buffs interested? PM me!

I would be willing to trade for an equivalent Nikon system... my cousins have a bunch of lenses I can borrow, so I'd rather use a Nikon body. Would trade my Canon 40D body + lens for a Nikon D300 body, or for a Nikon D90 + a good lens.

By the way, I will only sell the body if I have a buyer for the lens... I don't want to be stuck with a lens that I can't use.

Don't make me put this on ebay, please! Somebody has to be interested.

EDIT: I'm thinking going Nikon so if you have a nice Nikon body or body+lens you might be willing to trade, let me know.

Ok, bump.

I'll take $1000 + shipping for the body + lens. If I don't get any takers soon, I'm putting them on ebay... and they won't be quite as cheap.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that I will be including an 8GB CompactFlash card and this book with purchase of the camera:

bump with pics (boxes/papers are not shown, they are still in my closet):

I forgot to mention that I have a Giottos glass anti glare/screen protector on the view screen, this cost about $40, very high quality and keeps the real screen perfect. Since it's real glass, it installs perfectly on the existing screen with no bubbles like a plastic screen protector would. (can be seen in the last pic)

C'mon guys, any interest? $1,000 is as good as it gets for a setup like this.
