First of all, Many thanks to the guys who gave me help to get my cmvs working from 5 volts :)

This is my first time making a consolized MVS but I have the bug now and when I get the chance I'll try one with the more popular MV-1C board.

I really want to enclose the bottom of the unit, perhaps with some black plastic card. It wont be going into a cabinet again. The MV-1b came out of an old cabinet and man was it dirty, I thought I had it clean, but the flash on the camera shows otherwise lol.

The whole system is running from 5V thanks to the help on these forums. A simple on/off switch, Im thinking perhaps I should add a power LED somewhere?

Simple 8 pin din carries the RGB and Stereo sound, (Internally modded for stereo sound) also thinking about adding stereo RCA ports.

Not much going on around here except for the excellent cut vinyl stickers my friend made for me. :)

With my 2 sticks, I really dont like the newer style sticks, but getting hold of the older ones is proving too expensive for me at the moment. I wired up the +5v so I can use joypads, I have one of them on the way :)

And that's my first CMVS, but not my last. Now im going to play some Metal Slug 4.

Nice job for a first CMVS. Are you planning on getting a Unibios put in? Luckily the 1B is Pin for Pin on the Unibios mod so it's super simple.

I like the idea of a unibios, do you know if you can buy the blank mask rom chips as used on the MV-1b? Id much prefer to program one up and do a nice neat swap than solder all those wires.

I'm not sure but someone would have to own a burner for that specific rom chip which I don't know anyone that does. Also the 1B UB mod only takes about 5 minutes really, compared to the 1C which can take up to an hour at times.

Oh good point about the mask rom, perhaps a surface mounted version of the eprom that Raz recommends?

Are the cords on your pads really that short?

If you look under the jelly bean controller you can see the cords sticking out.

NOW...if they were that really short...you would be face planted on the TV. :tickled:
