[highlight]Alabama Arcade and Shmup Gathering 2008[/highlight]
Location:
Prattville, AL, just North of Montgomery. Prattville is located in the center of the state, allowing for a 3 hour maximum travel time for anyone in Alabama. Prattville is about 2.5-3 hours from Atlanta. I live about a mile from I-65 off of exit 181. Hotels are within a mile from my apartment and are very easy to access. Detailed directions can be provided.
When:
Arrive anytime you like after 1 PM

My Gear:
I have two Japanese arcade machines and some arcade PCBs. There will also be a consolized MVS and a Jaleco Pony III Japanese arcade machine present. I also have some consoles. Anyone is welcome to bring whatever they want. Please respect my gear as well as everyone elses. I will designate a few people to handle the swapping of arcade PCBs if someone would like to change out a game. My current arcade PCB inventory as of 8/20 is:
Food and accomodations:
As previously mentioned, there are hotels within a mile of my apartment. Prattville is a very safe area. I can also have 2 or 3 people crash at my place if need be. I will provide lunch for free (local BBQ), and we can all decide on what to do for dinner. Prattville and Montgomery both have a large selection of restaurants.
Game Plan/Competitions
I am open for any suggestions regarding competitions or tournaments for certain games.
OK looks like we will be close to maximum capacity (if everyone shows).

Anyone is welcome to bring what they want. I have shmups covered pretty well, but fighting games will be needed if anyone wants to throw down on those. A CMVS will be present for Neo fighters, however my cab only has 3 buttons per player, so not really ideal there.
Rules:
1) Absolutely no drugs. Beer is allowed if you want to bring some. Please don't get drunk and be obnoxious.
2) Take a shower. I don't want to have to move to a new apartment to escape the smell after this is over.
3) Please respect my gear and my apartment. If you plan to abuse mine or anyone else's stuff, please don't bother to attend.
4) Arcade PCBs and cab maintenance will be handled by myself and 1 or 2 others that I choose. I would hate for someone to accidentally break a $400 arcade board.
5) No smoking. Seriously, I hate it. Please step outside if you need to.
