I paid him $75 for a SVC Chaos partial kit which he said he had.

I wondered about him for a little while till I got an email saying he had requested a mailing label be printed.

I haven't heard from him since.

He has 3 good sell/trading rep points so I'm confused here.

He requested that you print out a label for him? I had a bad feeling about this guy when he was selling the other MVS carts at ridiculous Liquidamart prices. Geez man, I hope this goes well for you.

I guess I didn't word it right.

Paypal has an option to print a shipping label in advance and pay for it so you can just go and ship it quickly at the post office.

I got a message back from the official website saying it was shipped but nothing has been updated when I search the shipping code that was given to me.

3 good feedbacks is not enough to reflect a person's trustworthiness. I am not saying that this seller is a bad one, or even that all sellers with only 3 feedbacks are bad sellers.

In the past year, this site has seen a couple of people with 20+ feedbacks become scammers and even one with 80+ feedback become a bad seller.

The best sign of trustworthiness is how active a person is in the community. When in doubt, it is advised to ask the seller for references (other members on here--who are active--who can recommend the seller).

Serge,

DJ is worried since the tracking # you supplied doesn't appear to have been properly inputted into the mail system.

If you go to the web site and try it, it appears that the package label has been printed, but not scanned in by the Canadastan post office. Since it's not showing up in the tracking system properly, he's worried that the package has not been shipped.

Hey just a heads up but having a couple of packages that came from Canada using Canada Post I can say that DJ's package is probably out of Canada or at customs. The reason I say this is because I've noticed that Canada Post updates the package status as long as it's in their hands. Once it's out of their hands (i.e. it's in the hands of customs or USPS) it will no longer update. Considering how close Montreal is to the US they probably just handed it over to customs and let the package go from there. Since it takes around 10 business days and it was shipped out on the 23rd of May then I'd wait until sometime after June 6th to bring up anything. I could be wrong on this, but that's what it looks like from my past experiences.

I would have to agree with aMithos. I work for the US Postal Service and there have been times that I have been shipped items from Canada with Delivery Confirmation. The seller will send me the tracking number and Canada Post website will only have the date listed that it arrived to them and was dispatched out. Once the packages are sent to the customs office in Mississaugua (sp?), you have to wait for them to get around to inspecting your package and sending it on it's way to it's destination.

The customs office doesn't scan the package so there is no update in the system as to where the package currently is. Also, the customs office doesnt have a set time frame in which they have to inspect packages. Sometimes they get them out quickly and sometimes they don't. There is also no way to call and find out how long it will take them to get your package through the inspecting process. There may be a set time frame for Express Mail packages ... but all other shipping options are at the mercy of their schedule. Expect extremely long delays during the Christmas season. I had a package sent from Canada to California that took a little over 3 months total to arrive during the Christmas season because the customs office was backlogged with packages awaiting inspection.

I would suggest that people do what I do when selling items.

1) Scan ALL mailing receipts in High Res.
2) Send a copy of the High Res reciept images to the buyer.

This way ... even with the delay in updates to the tracking page, the seller can prove that he actually did mail the shipment on the date that he claimed. Hope this info helps.

my recent experience has been at least 2 weeks for a package going to the US or to get to me from the US, I agree about scanning and sending the receipts for sure. Sellers should offer that, especially if it crosses a boarder.

The package just came in today.

Sorry about the whole questioning I did.

You'll get a good feedback soon.
