Yes, it's possible. I'm getting ready to start a 1B for someone so I can send you a pic of where to tap the audio. You'll need the small circuit that's on my site to combine the YM analog channel with the stereo signal.

You can also amp the signal if you want - I generally don't, but some people like to get a little more volume.

Sorry for the slow reply. I haven't started the 1B but I did find some old pictures I took. They are not marked up but should be fairly easy to tell what to do -- you'll just need to do a quick test to see what channel is which... The two wires coming from the C844G are the left/right channels and the wire coming off the edge connector is the YM2610 analog channel.

When I do the 1B, I'll take cleaner shots if necessary.

top side with a/b/c tap points
bottom side to remove channel merge (not necessary!)

Thanks MKL. :)

Those pics are several years old and were in an unsorted folder with no notes to go with them (and may not be related???) so the info you provided is great feedback.

Hi

i tried the circuit by Jm, but i get a little buzz on the speakers (its not comming from the external amp but the rcas i added to the neo), and i didnt got that when using the onboard mono amplified output. There is any way to get amplified stereo from the jamma edge?

regards

I would suggest using the revised audio circuit by MKL.

I can't find the original post by MKL, but you can find another copy of it here towards the bottom:

I have built this circuit for my MV1B and its much, much better than the simpler circuit by JMKurtz. While his certainly works, the one by MKL results in louder, cleaner audio.
