i had purchased a few things from ssf, one being a 1 slot mvs board. mv1b or something. the board would constantly reset or exhibit all sorts of strange problems. so i contacted him and he said he would replace it with another 1 slot, and if i could just pay shipping. i was ok with that but i forgot to throw in the money when i boxed it up. i offered to paypal but his account was frozen/suspended.

so whatever, time goes on and i completely forget to send the money order, but hes not too concerned about it as i cant recall ever getting a pm asking where the shipping money was.

so a few months back i send him a pm, and he says he forgot about it too, and not to worry about the $10, and that he'll ship it out when it gets it from home/storage or whatever.

time goes by and nothing. i sent a pm a few weeks ago and haven't gotten a reply yet.

hes not a terribly active member any more im sure. but if someone knows where i can contact him that'd be great.

Im even listed as a thief...thats an impressive simplification considering how complex and not black/white that trade and situation was (and is).

well this thief is going to give not sonic his money/a replacement board. y'know, cause i love stealing so much. :P

Also, why was your paypal frozen? Or was it?

well since you are now making an effort to get people right, you should pay Josh Miller the other 50.00 for the cabinet you bought from him. You know the Neo candy 29 he sold you and that you later attempted to sell here for 400.00 more then you paid for it. The one you showed up to pick up but were short 50.00 dollars and failed to mention anything about that until the cabinet had been brought down 3 flights of stairs and was already in the back of your truck.

youre right, everything is not always black and white.... there is more history then your issue with Mike alone.

I saw that cab go up for sale, but didn't say anything because I thought it wouldn't be worth it to ruffle any feathers.

But yea, a year and a half ago, I sold segasonicfan a neo29 with a broken monitor (he knew that) for $100.

He paid the first half in advance, only because I had threatened to sell it to someone else (he had dicked me around for weeks and I wanted the cab out of my apartment).

After I helped him and a friend take it down 3 flights of stairs and into his van, he refused to pay the other $50 he owed me.

I could care less about the fifty bucks that I lost more than a year ago, I was just EXTREMELY insulted. I had given him a great deal, and he still boned me out of half of what he owed.

Then I see him put the cab up for sale again on this forum. . .

Did it have the Monitor in it still??? I damn near killed myself putting a neo-29 in the back of a pickup... and I had help.

Was the monitor still in it? They are heavy as fuck... and the compactness makes them sofucking dense... Like trying to lift three dead motherfuckers.

That's actually the worst thing that's been reported about him. You should have brought this up sooner. If that's true, damn, that's straight up theft as far as I'm concerned.

Heh I know the exact cabinet. Was checking out shipping options for it at the time. I believe it was located in San Francisco, and I'm on the east coast. :(

no problem Josh, seemed it was time for the information to be brought to the front in light of recent *events*.

Sadly the story is all true and all hurt. Josh is a really nice guy and I think he just didnt even feel like fucking getting into with him..... if I recall it was quite a hassle to even get zach to come and get it; things kept "coming" up whenever it came time for him to rent a truck and pick it up.

I was furious when I found out about this and attempted to get in touch with SSF via a PM here, to which he responded that he was not going to be giving any money to anyone. Wish I still had that PM.

RLC; I totally forgot about that! Wish the cabinet had gone to you instead man.

I can't help but feel pure rage when I think about how shady all of this is.

If you guys want, I saved ever single PM (about 40 of them) SSF sent me in regards to this situation. I wouldn't mind posting them if there was some way of validating their authenticity for naysayer's sake.

Yea, man, I just didn't want to fuck with it. I couldn't get that thing back up the stairs by myself (yes, the monitor was still in it), and SSF was being a real bitch. He was blaming me because I wasn't home when he wanted to pick up the cab more than two hours earlier than the time we had agreed on the day before, and saying that I was responsible for extra time on his van rental because of that.

I had wanted to sell the cab because I needed to get it out of my girlfriend's tiny SF studio. I had bought an Astro to replace it, and there was simply no room for two cabs in her little apartment, and no room for a cab in mine. SSF dicked me around for MONTHS before he came to get it (only because I told him if he didn't, I'd give it to someone else, because I needed it gone).

I just wanted to be rid of it, and dealing with some cheapskate nickel and dimeing me wasn't worth the time.

However, in my eyes, he stole from me. I am not seeking retribution, this was awhile ago, I just saw that his credibility had come into question, and I felt as though this story should be told.

And my PMs proove with dates just how long this went on for, how he promised to pay for half a new monitor (around $450 with tax). I asked him to pay for some of the replacement I got for about half that, and he tried to offer me something that never would of worked in the first place, but I'll let the photos do the talking. (PS: I know how to host my own images, thanks)

The best part about this all....he sold the perfectly good astro city chassis i had without telling me because he said we would never find a tube for it, but the replacement tube i ended up getting was EXACTLY THE SAME and I'm pretty sure he knew that all along.
