Buy any other Neo Geo game with it(or any thing $10 or more..) and you get free shipping. THAT is a good deal*

*until you realize you are paying for roms...

OK if I get the PS2 version, does it have extra stuff like movie play through where you can view all the endings and storyline instead on the options, once you complete the game

Sorry just done a 12 hour nightshift while I type this b4 I got to bed

Because, you know, those cartridges are just full of magic that makes them work.
Nope, no ROMs to be seen in there. No, sir.

I'm pretty sure there's magic in there somewhere. I'm still looking for it.

Actually, I suppose it's not so much the game data itself that's so in question, it's the hardware it's played on. The new collection is a ridiculously good deal, at any rate.

Ooooooh that's what it is that makes them work.

And all these years I thought they were just full of win... except galaxy fight, fight fever, world heroes and a few others that are full of fail.

Why does everyone look like leaping faggots on the Japan cover?

Wow, a collection that was released in Japan. Usually Japanese collections are more expensive and contain less titles. Then the US gets a completely different, cheaper, larger collection.

MilkManX, I read a glowing review by Dave Halverson (formerly Editor In Chief of Play Magazine, still a reviewer.) He rated SNK Arcade Classics an A. DH also was responsible for the magazines Die Hard Game Fan and Gamers Republic. Play Magazine is for all those whom love not only 2D Gaming, but particularly SNK, 1980-1990's Neo-Geo games and platformers. I just received my copy through Amazon.com and it is fantastic. My favorites so far are Metal Slug, Shock Troopers, Sengoku, Samurai Shodown, and King Of The Monsters. I see that Ign.com hated Sengoku, a side scrolling samurai game wherein you wield 2 swords and fight other samurai...what is not to like?

By the way...where is the PS2 review post of SNK Arcade Classics? Well hopefully this will sell like hotcakes so there can be a SNK Arcade Classics 2...hopefully with Ikari Warriors.

The analog stick works similar to the old spin joystick controller that SNK had used in the original arcade Ikari Warriors.

The slowdown still looks pretty bad in Shock Troopers.

My thoughts exactly. Is there signifigant slowdown in the original? I did play it once (a while ago) but I can't remember any slowdown.

Have you noticed any difference between the PS2 and PSP version? (hopefully the PSP version is better then the PS2)

It has to be unlocked on the PSP version. I'm not sure how you do it, but I believe I read that you have to have 10 medals to unlock it.

With this being crap, I may try getting a cheap slim PSP down the road and playing the emus instead of dealing with very inferior ports.

There is definitely slowdown in the original Shock Troopers on the real hardware, but in the 1-player conditions shown in the youtube video of the PSP one, the slowdown looked quite excessive. Don't hold me to this, as I haven't played it in a while and don't have access to the game at the moment, but I'm pretty sure.
