I apologize in advance to the mods if this is in the wrong forum. This seemed the most appropriate place to put it. Feel free to move it if it is, in fact, out of place.

Let me preface by saying I'm not affiliated in any way with the site I'm linking.

There is a new video game-exclusive auction site that went online today.

They seem to have a better pricing schedule than eBay. Personally, I've become fed up with eBay over the past few years and I'd love to see a place like this succeed. I suggest everyone go check it out. There are already a handful of listings up which is frankly surprising since the site has only been online 24 hours.

It's got deep categorization for all the major console manufacturers (including SNK, NEC, etc) and I think it's got some promise overall.

The pricing structure looks good and its nice alternative to ebay I will probably list a few MVS games to try it out.

No prob. Just overnight there are over 100 auctions up now. I'm gonna list some stuff pretty soon and give it a shot, myself. I want to give it a couple days for the user base to expand a little first though.

I'll register. I getting pretty sick of ebay and games are all I ever buy/sell on there anyways...

Hrrrm. I'm really burned out with auction shit. I've had way better luck and surprisingly have run into fewer shady characters via these forums, shmups.com, and a few other places.

That's one thing I like about the site. When you create an account you get a chance to paste links to your forum feedback ratings that will appear when someone views your profile.

When you look at someone's feedback page, you can click on links and see references on forums and whatnot. And that's on top of the auction site's own rating system which I find more intuitive than eBay's lame positive/negative program.

I think a major focus of the site is to keep the "forum community" feel for us real gamers and discourage mega store sellers that are only interested in price gouging and driving up the online market.

1. Just updated the software to include the DP Rarity Guide! Now, your auctions can have a direct link to the famous DP Rarity Guide. Give your sellers a chance to find out more about your games from a trusted source!

2. Reviews and Guides. Review items listed, for the products listed. Give a good review to help others out! Gudies: Create a guide to give insight to various auction happenings, video game info, etc. Anything that can be helpful to someone Video Gaming related is welcome!

3. A new referral system that allows you to build credit for selling on GameGavel.com and earning money based on people you refer selling things! For everyone you refer, you get a bonus added to your sellers account. Refer more people, get more money towards selling your items.

And to make the deal even more sweet, every time someone you refer sells an item and pays the final value fees, you get a percent of that! Just our little way of saying thank you for helping GameGavel out! Build up $50 and we will send you a check or deposit it in your PayPal account!

We have even taken the guess work out of the links. In your account page, there is prebuilt code for your website or forum!

Bravo!! I think most of us are getting tired of eBay. I don't even like posting sales there anymore. I hope this site hits the ground running.

Today, I made the tough decision to part ways with Google Ads and using them as a source of advertising for GameGavel.com.

Unfortunately, the value vs. return for you (the user) and myself (the owner) was not very good. I am 100% driven to ensure that all of your auctions get the attention they deserve, and as such I have decided to lanuch a more targeted and poignient campaign with image banners at various gaming websites only.

This targeted approach will ensure that the right people are getting to see GameGavel and then seeing your auctions when the visit the site.

Keep an eye out on the website, for the latest video coming to the front page of GameGavel for the most exciting news to date! Let's just say that one lucky person will could be a lot richer in the future!
