Well, about 2 years ago I bought a modded xbox from Jose and just recently it conked out...so I emailed him to ask what he thought the problem was...not expecting anything but hoping for directions so I could fix it. He says "sure, send it back and I'll charge near nothing to do a bit of wiring and I'd pay return shipping. I am thinking GREAT!! so I pack it up and ship it off to him. A couple of weeks go by and comms are great. He says he shipped it out so I waited. Nothing. I email him back asking what happend and he said he got really busy but it just went out that day and should be here Sat or Monday. That Monday was last monday and he hasn't replied to any of my emails all week long. Now I have had nothing but great dealing with Jose in the past so I figure something crazy just came up, but here I am without my xbox which was said to ship out on the 4th of sept. He's in So Cal and I am in Nor cal. It should be here in a few days at the most.

So here I am....just trying to think pos and get in contact and I am wondering if anyone has heard from him or a So Cal member is friends with him and could shed some light on the situation

"sorry for the mess things got messy here. I would rather not talk about it, good news it will be out tomorrow afternoon and you will have a tracking number"


I figured something just came up, as he's always been a stand up guy....so, hopefully all is well that ends well.

Jose has been very busy lately...

He's such a nice guy that he always agrees to do semi-favors for people....

Even if he doesn't have the time.

He should just be a dick and say no to people....

You're not a dick if you tell someone you are too busy. Life/time needs to be budgeted. It's OK. I hope whatever is going on with him is ok.

He just emailed me:

"I am heading to the PO right now, but I have to go to work right after, so I will send you the tracking number when I get back in tonight.

Well, I emailed him for the tracking number this morning, since it didn't come last night and he was on the neo boards again this morning at a bit after 9am and I have recieved no tracking number, no pm, no email......again.

Was it working at all when you shipped it out? If not, I would just suggest being patient. I am really surprised he agreed to look at it, since it had been two years.

Lack of communication is the big problem with most of these threads.

Patient? WTF? I've been more than patient. Of course it was working, just the modchip was having issues. I emailed him asking what he thought the issue was. I was also surprised he offered to fix it as I wasn't looking for him to do so, but was very happy when he offered. That's not the point now. Now the point is it's been fixed since Aug. 24th (when he said it was ready and I paid the return shipping) and has now told me that it has shipped out 2 times and left me hanging 3. I've been more than patient, especially with him having time to come on this site, yet he hasn't answered emails or pm's. Don't fucking talk to me about being patient. It took 2 times of waiting a week after I was told it shipped out twice and a week with no return emails or pm's after that to even make this thread just trying to find out what's going on with him.....and I've now been told it shipped out again and was promised a tracking number.....yet nothing. I'm not mad at Jose either....life's crazy sometimes. I just want my shit back. But fuck bro....patient? Come on....

This is why I asked if the unit was working or not. When I hear "conked out" to me that isn't a working unit. I figured if it was not working at all, you really had nothing to lose by giving the guy some more time.

I was just surprised that the guy agreed to look at it after two years. Maybe he squeezed you into his schedule and got in over his head? Clearly the communication has been sub par and that is what causes most of the problems.

If the whole thing broke, I wouldn't even have emailed him. I guess "conked out" can be interpreted in many ways though. I would have just bought a new one. Your posts have made it sound like I was looking for some sort of customer warrenty or something after two years and that was hardly the case.

I got a tracking number from him this morning, saying the item was recieved on the 19th....which tells me why I didn't get the number when I was supposed to....since it never went out and he just didn't say anything, again. Still, I am not mad at the guy, as shit happens. I don't think he handled it too well though.

The "be patient" comment was what pissed me off though, as I feel like I have been more than patient. That was rediculous.

I agree with everything Chris1 said. At times I fealt like I may have gotten ripped off and was just being fucked around with, (as anyone would in that situation) but from my past experience with Jose, I was really trying to give him the benefit of the doubt....even after being told it was shipped out twice, both times having it not been true. I think that's being plenty patient and more than understanding.

I'll post an update on Saturday, when the item is supposed to arrive.

The part he was involved in did "stop functioning".... which is the only reason I contacted him....which really isn't the point of this thread.

Also, he didn't "agree" to fix it, he "offered to fix it", as I never asked, but appreciated and still do. My first email to him even stated that I was "only looking for advice".

either way...this arguement is not helping anything.

This guy is a great guy no doubt about it, but if u start talking crap about it u are probably pissing him off, If I were in this situation I would probably not answer your e-mails either good luck though.

Look Bro I got friends but it does not mean that I am going to back up all of them but anyways maybe you just got to be a little nicer to him and not posting stuff about him that would definetely piss someone off, I know Jose for kind of a while and he has always responded back to my e-mails with no doubt about it, good luck again.

Like I said, "You're way off". This thread was made after everything had already happend and was not intended to be harsh towards Jose.

NGT hasn't said anything bad about Jose.... He's only asked what's going on...
