Foxen was advertising a KOF98 mini marquee. We negotiated to $15 and he shipped it to me. At that point, I found that it was a repro (a bad one at that, hand cut edges and unevenly laminated). At that point, I asked him if it was a repro. He replied that "nope, that's just the way they made them." After gathering more evidence that it was a repro, he changed his tune and said that he would not give me a refund because I should have asked if it was a repro and that $15 was clearly the going rate for repro artwork (maybe it is if you're Little Lady). If anyone wants, I can post the entire PM transcript here. Please beware when dealing with any sort of artwork or trade with Foxen.

Foxen sounds like yet another worthless member if this is true. Seems like we're getting a steady flow of them lately... Anyway, good luck with your refund. 15 dollars for a repro mini's definitely bullshit.

repro artwork should have been specified in the sale. Those repro mini marquees have a very miniscule value if any at all and should only be included with the MVS cartridge it will identify as a courtesy imo.

I'd Say that $15 is almost too much for an original....

He's back!

Seems like Foxen is trying to sell stuff again (with a new avatar) and not only that, but is trying to buy back his reputation. Funny PM I just got:

"Hello there, after a while off i'm finally back on the boards. Even though I gave you pictures and was never asked questions, i feel that i didn't Clearly describe the marquee and since you were new you didn't know. I would like to refund the 10$ to you in good faith and good business. I don't want to misrepresent my items or me. I hope you forgive me and accept my appologies. But in the future make sure you ask a lot of questions, people don't really know what they have some times."

Odd how similar "good faith" and bribes can look....

At least he's trying to fix it.

It's amazing how many little nuances there are on this board: boots, repros, and other items that n00bs don't know about or understand how members feel about.

Very true. Who pays $15 for an MM anyway? Thats a little much even for a legit one.

That depends on who wants it and what it is. I have been trying for awhile to get a MM for Puzzle De Pon!R. I could probably see paying $15 for a good condition original. If I cant find an affordable copy of Blazing Star with a MM I might pay somwere close to that for its original MM as well since both those marquees seem rather difficult to come by. I wouldnt pay that much for a repro though. Although I may have to pay someone something to print/laminate/etc one for NITD for me...just because none of the copy shops here will print it for me! What a pain in the butt copywrites have gotten...here they even check when you print from their "by the hour" computers so you cant even get around it that way anymore :crying:

Take it. I gave him a load of shit in another thread. Glad to see he's doing the right thing.

I don't need the $15. I need him to never pull this kind of crap ever again or alternately, never sell anything here ever again. *shrug* I would have agreed with you that he was trying to do the right thing if he offered me a full refund, but a partial refund? Only after he wants to start selling things again? Part of me thinks that's even more disingenuous than his previous actions.
