Neo Geo SNK MVS 4 Slot Cab MVS-4-25 (ver. 3)


Great fully working condition! In excelent shape. I bought this 5-6 months ago and was shocked at how great the condition was of the cab! I was a kid in the candy store when the owner turned the power on! The picture blew me away. I had a smile from ear to ear all day long just like the day i lost my virginity! hehe. Sad to sell it and soo damn soon. But you gota do what you gota do when theres not enough money to pay the bills let alone buy food for a single income family with a 2 year old girl to take care of.

Comes fully working as i've fixed it up as best as i could:

• 
  
  The Marquee Lights work! Common for the 4 light panels to be burnt out.You cant buy replacement bulbs for these cabs.2 are bright and 2 are dull but still bright enough.

• 
  The top part was gutted when i bought it with just a MS4 large marquee and a florescent light fixture. I bought up a marquee header panel that looks great with no visable paint chips.. A little bowed though and i've braced it to flatten it out. Looks great! I also had to buy the wood speaker panel for the top. I got lucky to find a guy that gutted a cab and had an original.I also had to buy the marquee holder that goes over the light panels.

• 
  The sound on the 4 slot board works like new as i replaced all the caps around the sound chip area. Its common to find the sound staticy or only sound from one side. Not so with this cab. Full clear stereo sound!

• 
  All fresh new Happ Competition joysticks and full set of cherry switches and buttons.

• 
  Memory card slot is still there and totally works and so does the 2 headphone ports for player 1 and 2.

• 
  Installed a Universal bios v2.3 that boots up showing the serial # of the board. Play the games in any region or language you like! Add blood to the game the way it was ment to be, totally uncensored! Also you can add other features or unlock bosses to your games!

• The monitor looks great! Clear vivid colors and is bright! Slight burn in though from the insert coin sign. You cant see it though when its runing and barley visable when the unit is off. If i didt tell you about it, you probably would'nt even know.

If dubdubdub backs out of the poster, can I be next in line? Where did you get that poster? It's pretty awesome. Also, could you be convinced to make some high res scans of your mini marquees (300 dpi) to send to witchboard's archive ( http://mvsmma.okcoin-op.com/ )? He's been collecting high res scans of mm's for posterity.

Thanks.. maybe i'll get lucky and get stuck with this kit now as i spent $200 on it on ebay a few weeks ago. I've lowered the price as far as i'm willing. Dont want to take a large loss since i've only played it a few times. Wont bother me to keep it.

Not trying to rain on your parade man, but that 4 slot is a little pricey. Unless it's got some worthwhile games included I wouldn't ask more than 500, and that's for one in immaculate condition. Again just a suggestion.

SO your saying i should just chop this up cause its worth more in parts? Or that i should just convert it into another a mame cab cause its junk and no one would mind cause its condition is worthless?

I've said it many times already but i paid $500 for it off of ebay and the top was gutted. I put $350+ into to restore it. So i should take $350 and call it sold?

Ummm.. Put a X-box 360 next to the cab and ask anyone if the cab looks worth $350?

Single arcade games go for more then $350.. Multi Arcade machines that play 38+ games run in the thousands. A 4 slot cab that can play hundreds of games should only cost 3-500 tops! Ok.

I love your cab, but don't believe everything you see on eBay... 1000-1300's insane for a 4 slot.

Price lowered to as low as i'll go at $550.00. Just found out how in trouble we are financially and this needs to go before i start taking apart my top of the line computer which would suck.

What kinda money problems are you having? Just wondering cause your having to sell alot of great stuff.

What other problems could there be but were broke! accounts been over drawn and had no idea.

I have a buyer from ebay for the cab but he insists on $500.. Wont even do $550 to help on those crazy paypal fees.

EDIT: Ebay buyer backed out.. Found out he was buying a system geared towards fighting games. He dont like fighting games and he looked threw the list of games and only found maybe 6-7 games he would want to play and those cost over $100 each so be bailed. hehe.. Rich kid wanting a cab i guess.

Those 1000+ dollar 4 slots you see are usually the buy it now price from private arcade ops or warehouses. And they practically never sell at that price. My price range comes from what I've paid for mine, attending auctions, and observing sales on different websites. People who pay a grand for neo cabs, are either:

A) new to the "scene" and don't know any better

B) someone's who's got money to throw around and doesn't feel like waiting for a decent price.

For example, www.quarterarcade.com has a "restored" 4 slot for like 1500. That thing has been there for at least the last year and a half.

Welp i think its just your opinion and your intitiled to it. Theres been many members here that said they would of bought it already if they lived by me. When i bought mine i would of gladly paid $800 which was the bin price but didnt cause my wife was'nt happy about it and insted placed a bid and won at $500.00

350-450 for a decent 4 slot. Maybe 300 for a decent 2 slot or a real nice 1 slot. The price difference between board hardware is not as drastic as you're making it sound.

Wrong, a good majority of people at auctions are arcade ops, dealers, restaurant owners. They buy in bulk and they know what they're looking for. The Neo was a huge figure in the 90's arcade era. It's not like no one's ever seen it before, in fact they're usually one of the more plentiful items at an auction along with Pac Mans and Capcom fighter cabs. They aren't rare and shouldn't be going for a grand. If anything the price has been inflated due to the hype created by this site.

In the future if theres some cab im interested in, i'll be sure to ask you what its worth before i buy.

Look, I understand you're trying to recoup what you paid for it on ebay. I'm just saying, asking 650 for a 4 slot with no games isn't exactly a great price.

I own about 60 something MVS carts a 1 Slot cab, a 2 slot cab and a couple jamma cabs and around 15 pcb boards. I also live in Michigan by the way. I feel that his 4 slot is well-worth 550 if he were to throw in some common games like AOF, FF, World Heroes Samsho ect... To me that cab is one of the cleanest 4 slot cabs I've seen and I've seen quite a few. Sure 1,000 or 1,500 is completely insane, but $550 for a nice original 4 slot cab thats pretty reasonable to me. Good luck with the cab I know it's gotta suck to sell it and I'd be interested if I wasn't poor lol. Oh and about the Turbo Duo I'd say you'd make 350 if you've got the orignal box for the console. I collect TG-16 stuff as well as Neo-Geo MVS.

Thanks for the kind words man.. If this cab dont sell i'll have to sell off the dvd/CD collection to make room in the living room for it. That way the wife is happy that its out of my Daughters room and i can play late at night with the headphone jack! hehe..
