I'm sure some of you guys out there have this conversion done by arcade,
if possible for those of you who do own it, could you give me your opinions
of the quality of the work done and if possible post some pics please.

Strikers Plus is good quailty, should be numbered on spine. color manual, old style and new style insert (might be wrong on the inserts I have check at home). It was made from the orginal NGM Cart. Should have been 50 numbered starting from 00-50 if I remember although that is not to say there are more out there. Sacrifice NGH cart stock I am not sure if they used thier custom boards or just converted a SS2 or like cart. Stay away from thier super dodgeball conversion though.

They also put the code in for the secret plane in the manual.

just a note I have the spine picture here

http://www.neogeocentral.com/NGHStuff.htm

!arcade! games Shown are

NITD
Prehistoric Island
Strikers 1945 Plus
Super Dodge Ball
Metal Slug

Mine is not numbered they sold 50 that were number through this site then several on the side if I remember right.

Is there any chance you could post some close up pics?
would be most grateful if you could as I'm trying to track down a copy, I just wanted to know what the art work quality was like.

Art work quality was very professional, IMO.

Personally, I thought that the boards used were mediocre. I had some reliability problems with mine, and eventually got Jeff Kurtz to swap them out for some genuine SNK boards. Worked perfect after that.

Thanks Galfordo
Do you know if they used the same boards with the hole run that they did?

I'm not positive about that, but I would guess that they did.

Neo-Geo.com proudly presents the release of Strikers 1945 Plus on home cart. The production will be from !Arcade!, the makers of the Phantom I converter and future AES 2 system. As you can see from the pictures below, the beauty of the art work is phenomenal, absolutely breathtaking.

Every single component of Strikers will be professionally made. Custom boards are being created to house the SNK chips. This means no wires or sac carts are involved! The insert, manual, and cart sticker will be professionally printed. The quality will "wow" you! The manual will be full color, complete, and just as impressive as the work you have already been shown. The English gold warning sticker will be on each Strikers home cart and the cases will be actual SNK make, not replicas.

You can look forward to future home cart releases, all through Neo-Geo.com. Should you have any questions, please direct your inquiries to sales@neo-geo.com.

The release date of Strikers is scheduled for August 11th. This run will be limited.

Custom boards
No sac carts
Gold warning sticker
Full color manual
New SNK cases
Lifetime warranty

looks like you got pics. Prehistoric Island 2 was done in similar quality and numbered. Oh and also add Ganyru to the list.

All 50 pieces of Strikers 1945 Plus sold out on preorder prior to release. Any copies produced after the limited 50 should not be numbered. The quality truly is exceptional. Love the gold foil stamping!

Btw, Big Bruno, I never had any trouble with my copy of Super Dodge Ball, but that release wasn't sold through the NeoStore, only Ganryu and Strikers 1945 was (during the SNK downtime). What's wrong with the other Super Dodge Balls?

have not seen you join a thread in a long time :)

Well lets just say the Super dodge balls were not made with as good of quality parts as the other 3 and leave it at that. Plus the manual was also poorly done as you know compared to the rest. Although it was all in color the capture of the Move list sheet was somewhat less professional IMO.

How come one of them is 681megs and NeocverA's is 684megs?? Is this an error on the cover of one of the versions or is there something extra in terms of options???

I'm not to sure but there seems to be different numbers floating around, on a japan fan site they say that the game clocks in at 682meg:confused:

Those conversions come with an instruction manual. Conversions would seem a lot more legit if they all had manuals.

I disagree with you here Alec. I actually like conversions to not contain a manual, because it pretty much ensures the fact that its not an original AES release. Although, it's not like you can mistake it for a game like Strikers or PI2, but for a popular conversion like Metal Slug, I'd prefer if they didn't contain manuals to help reduce the scam factor.

Agreed,

I think that the manuals should only be reserved for the special conversiond like the strikers 1945 plus etc

What does the manual actually contain? Is it just scans of the MVS artset arranged nice? Or did !arcade! actually write copy for it?

So with these converted games, what is the go with credits? How many do you get? What level is it set to?

I'm sure it's exactly what you get when you put the MVS cart in home mode. It's not like they reprogram the game itself or anything.
