Well i guess its only right we have a "Woody" thread too...But respect..there are some Awesome "candys" in the other thread.
Back in the early nineties..all our Arcades were full of these "traditional" cabs, "candys" did not exist over here...i used to visit often..but only to play on the electrocoin 'neo-geo' cabs...my local arcade had four of these motha's!!
So obviously later on in life i just had to get myself one....heh!...or two..!!.
Here's the first one i purchased at the start of the year....it took me AGES to find one in the 'right' condition...there were LOTS of high priced rubbish i went to look at...its almost 'as-new'...its an Electrocoin 'single' Mv-6F..with a 20" screen.

My mods include...- Fitting a discrete pause switch (chrome square push/lock)..can you see it?.
Insides have been overhauled & all new connectors & switches etc...its like new inside & very tidy....i have seen some real horror wiring jobs in these cabs!:oh_no:
Monitior has been completely re-juvenated...stripped/cleaned & new CAP-kit installed.
All new micro-switches fitted in the controllers...they are very precise..buttons were like new/ no marks etc...leafs just needed cleaning.
6-slot Mobo was re-painted in 'Neo-Gold'..looks swell.
New pricing label made.

its a pretty standard cab for all us scandinavians, danish built "JK F3", jamma compatible cabinet built in the late 80s, in the late 80s and early 90s there was atleast one of these in just about every pizzeria and truckstop in the country!!

comes with either 19" or 24" screen (19 on mine) and rotates in a couple of seconds.
metal buttons that'll last a lifetime (or atleast till your fingers break, pretty rigid microswitches).

and oh yeah.. she's for sale too :cool:

1) 19" Data East cab w/ Gate of Doom complete kit
2) 19" w/ CPS2 in it
3) 19" Converted Taito cab w/ Shinobi complete kit

Techinically this one is considered a "woody" too:

Nice cab....did you fit the bat-tops?...Yeah i heard ROT used to have one of these....did he buy it back recently?.

I fitted the bats due to lack of parts at the time, as the cab was on site, not spoke to Rot ina while so don't know, sold it years ago....

My pride and joy. COst me £100 delivered 20 miles from my house to pick up. And an extra £50 for CPO, Marquee, Stickers, Buttons and Sticks. Also wired up for CPS2 and Naomi :D

J69....that's a minter of a cab there...damn fine work..the c/p all looks brand new & minty....& wired up for cps2!!...icing on the cake:drool: Top stuff.
Btw what a bargain price....& thats a good thing with the o'l woodys...cheap n cheerful.....candys seem to be extortionate & hard to find over here?..

Thanks :D I may need to pick your brains soon about the monitor. Its starting to get a bit old now and if it comes to replacing it or changing the capo kit i havent got the first idea! :oh_no:

No problems buddy...if you have a hantrex monitor...cap kits are only a couple of quid from Swallow amusements...if you don't want to attempt fitting the cap-kit.. i'll do it for you....

the main problem with it being the control panel is drilled for happ sticks, and the 2p stick and buttons could be at least another inch over to the right, but unfortunately theres little you can do to change it.

its still pretty playable, i have some black card to fashion a monitor bezel from so thats the next bit.

Hmmm....yeah...i see what you mean...Happ sticks ain't too bad...i fit them in my Lordsvale(green one)...they were a little tall...so i shortened them by 10mm..much better...happs have a tad too much travel...esp when used for fighters....not bad tho for nam-75, pulstar,NitD,shocky & games like that.

That's great news aaron....that cab is one of the best conditioned ones i have ever seen....great find buddy...i see you got shocktroopers back?....that shock kit i got from you is in my green Lordsvale.....i love it!!:D

Thanks buddy. The pic is kind of flattering to the cab... The side art is really the only problem area though. On one side, it is ripped off in one section and on the other, it looks as if it's either sunfaded or somebody scrubbed the crap out of it and discolored it. I'm all right with it though. It's a great cab. Yeah, I got Shock Troopers back. Glad to hear you're enjoying your purchases. Any chance you wanna sell me back that SvC mini marquee? :lolz:
