Atomiswave Cab Monitor problem

The other day I left my xbox and XVGA2 connected to my atomiswave cab monitor. A few hours later I came back and the bottom half of the picture had a bunch of black lines that run across the screen. Now any time I try to run the cab the monitor has these lines and makes games unplayable. Any idea how I can get this fixed, or what could have caused this??

The AW cabs are like 3 years old only.
If you fina an answer Whitey please post something
I have the cab also
and I would hate for anything to happen to this baby.

Getting replacement monitors for this thing
would be pretty hard huh? :(

& very expensive....have you tried the adjustments at the back of your monitor?
Btw...its highly unlikely to be a dried capacitor...your cab is just too new.

Can you take a pic? Also does this still happen with jamma games at 15khz? or Atomiswave/Naomi/TypeX at 31khz?

I still stand by my answer of a bad cap...

Yeah monitors that are put in cabs now are normally cheap China jobbies, few years & there fucked, I had to get a full cap kit on my monitor last year, but then again its 14 years old, Sanwa brand.

Here is a picture of the problem...

Can anyone confirm if this is a monitor or a monitor chassis problem? Mr.Megalo pm'ed me and informed me that the AW cab uses a cheap weiya chassis that would not be very expensive to replace. I confirmed that it is a weiya chassis.

The problem does happen at all resolutions.

I would say it was a chassis problem.....that picture & the fuzzyness at the bottom happened to one of my hantrex monitors.....the flyback transformer was the fault 'LOPT'...it emmited a high pitched wine/ hiss too.

I have a Neo candy cab with problems right now

I just called them to confirm (number is on their website). Yes they are still in business, and price is $39.99.

I wonder if I can ship it to them?

So you have to pull the whole monitor out and then just ship it to them?

If it's just the Chassis then they should hopefully be able to work on it right?

The chassis is really the only part of a monitor that usually goes out. you can always try though. I'd email them first or call them to make sure.
