Possible problem with Shawn Carr2o

*DISCLAIMER*

This is not an attempt to pick on Shawn/boog because of his disability. This is something I have heard time and time again about him. Until today I never had actual documented evidence. Before the Boog Brigade run in all upset; please read the entire post before judging my intentions.


Earlier today while browsing the forums, I came across the following thread:

As you can see Shawn/boog is asking about a Breath Of Fire 3 for the PSP.

ki atsushi then questions boog about purchasing other games while he has people holding games for him that he hasnt paid for yet.

Now I dont know if Shawn/boog responded to him via PM but it seems he totally ignored ki atsushis post and in turn, this was his next reply:

Now reading this ... it leads me to beleive that he found and purchased a BOF3 New/Sealed online .. yet didnt take care of his transaction with ki atsushi. There have been several times in the past that people have mentioned to me that boog always asks for people to hold things for him and that he takes an ungodly amount of time to pay. The problem is that while these people are waiting for payment he is making other deals in the process.

This is not being done to pick on him .. but he needs to be more mindful and respectful of his business dealings. I would suggest that everyone that is holding things for him post in this thread as to see just how many outstanding deals he has. This way people can see just how many outstanding deals he has. Then they can decide if they want to continue to hold on to these items till he can pay. Shawn has mentioned in the past that he needs to sell stuff from his selling thread or wait to get his "allowance" to pay for items that he has on hold.

In fact during the time O. Yashiro had his Non Neo 1 Year Sale , Shawn/boog was costantly posting for items to buy from O. Yashiro while members were left holding on to items awaiting payment.

Ki atsushi DID NOT ask me to post this. This is something I'm doing 100% on my own. Please only post constructive posts here; as this is an attempt to remedy a potential problem... not to pick on Shawn/boog.

I will only post what I know as fact and acknowledge the issue at hand. Shawn/Boog and I have made close to 10 completed transactions since I started my sells here. Now for every transaction completed there have been many items that I have held, and some im still holding that have gone unpaid. Ive let alot of it slip, not b/c of his disability but b/c ive also noticed he has ALOT of "hold requests" in other threads. Believe me, its an issue that I have experienced just as much as others and it did need to be addressed.

Once again this is not meant to be taken as an assault on Boog, but please take note to ur actions man.

My mom's boyfriend is buying Tales of Eternia for the PSP from ebay first and then later on I will buy Breath of Fire III for the PSP on ebay.

The other games that O. Yashiro were paid for from family members and some I had bought myself. My mom's boyfriend bought my Onimusha: Dawn of Dreams from O. Yashiro last month if I remember correctly and also Trace Memory and that was it.

ki_atsushi held some games until last Friday and that's when he agreed to hold 7 or 8 games and once I looked at his thread and the games were off of hold and so I decided to get both Tales of Eternia and Breath of Fire III for the PSP PAL english version on ebay but one at a time.

I didn't know that I had made ki_atsushi upset which I didn't mean to in any way and now he doesn't want to do business with me anymore which I truly understand.

ki_atsushi and I had 1 transaction which went smoothly with no problems at all.

I haven't purchased Tales of Eternia and Breath of Fire III for the PSP yet because I am trying to raise the money from my selling thread to buy them and to also pay other members who have some games and I did take care of some of the transactions though. It takes time to get the money and my social sercurity cut my money back and now it takes longer to purchase game etc.

That is why I am selling stuff so that I can make the money to pay some members here.

I wasn't ignoring ki_atsushi or anything like that and I just didn't know what to say to him after his post.

Maybe I will post some of the things that were just purchased if I can remember when.

I don't want to start any problems with members.

Instead of buying other items you should finish all existing deals you have going. From O. Yashiros post you still seem to have some unfinished business with him. I would suggest you contact people that are holding things for you and let them know you dont have the money to pay them. I have not added you to the Scammers, Thieves and Timewasters thread...YET. If you dont get those deals completed and I get another complaint about you .. I will add you to that list. This is an attempt to get you to get your deals finalized with the people you have that are awaiting payments.

In the future you should only have 1 deal going at a time. You also should not have people holding stuff for you that requires you to wait until you sell your items to generate spending money. Sell your items first ... then buy what you want once you have the money in your possession.

I have never stolen or scammed any memeber here and I plan not to steal or scam anyone. I don't want any negative feedback etc on this forum site and lose good friends here either. I feel so embarrassed now.

Whatever money I get from selling items on my selling thread or when I get paid and then I pay members for the items that I want to buy.

If only my selling thread would move alot faster I could pay for most of the Items.

O. Yashiro has an FC game console on hold for me and I almost have the money to pay for it.

I had $50 worth of NES games on hold for Shawn. He told me he would pay me march 3rd for them. Time came, nothing. I posted in his selling thread about it, he said he needed to sell more games first.

I have sold most of em since, I have noticed this since I first came to this site ages ago. Kinda sucks as I had someone buy 500 nes games from me and I could of sold him these but I had them on hold for shawn.

Whatever there are like 5-7 left but its still the principal.

Shawn, you really should pay off your debts first and think twice about if you can afford something or not.

You are still a cool guy, but if I saw everything i liked and asked people to put it on hold....well no one would be selling anything here it all be on hold for me

Shawn agreed to purchase a modded PSOne unit off me a while back and has only paid a portion of it to date. I agreed to hold the unit until it was fully paid for then I would ship it out. He paid for part of it about 5 weeks ago. He recently contacted me and said he was working on the rest of it.


This post isn't a swing in either direction, just an FYI.

I never meant to pick on boog either, I just wanted to let him know that I was upset because myself and 2 or more other members (which I found by breezing trhough the 'Everything Else' threads) were holding items for him and all of a sudden here he was making a new WTB thread.

The reason I stopped holding the games for you, Shawn, was because Friday came and went. I expected payment by then. If you couldn't make the payment, you should have just told me to either go ahead and take them off of hold status, or give me a definite date when you could pay for them. I would have been happy to extend the hold status until you could pay me if it was a reasonable amount of time.

Like I and the others suggested... instead of having everyone hold stuff for you Shawn, why don't you save your money and go after the things you want the most, one at a time, and then work your way down the list. This would make it easier for everyone.

EDIT: One more thing, I would still be happy to do business with you boog, but make sure you have the funds available if you want to purchase something. I just told you I won't hold anything for you anymore, that's all.

I must've forgot to pm you back after I checked your selling thread on Friday and saw the games not listed on hold and so I just thought that everything was taken off of hold.

I have been sending pm's to member and haven't gotten any pm's back but sometimes.

I wish that my selling thread would move alot faster.

I am going to pay broken the remaining $20 for the modded PSOne package to pay it off and also I am going to pay RingoC the remaining $45 for the Atomiswave motherboard to pay it off and then I will pay the other items that other members have on hold for me. After everything is paid for then I will start saving up like everyone suggested. I just get to excited because video games are my hobby and they are all that I can do to keep me busy from being bored.

I truly apologize to those who are holding items for me and awaiting payment.

I had no problems holding a SSVS for Shawn. He sent friendly PMs and was happy for me to sell it to another buyer when they came along and he didn't have the cash yet.

I'm holding 300 dollars worth of stuff for boog. He's paid 50 bucks worth towards it. I'll pm him and ask if he only wants a few of the games I have on hold for him.

To everyone that this thread concerns. If Shawn still owes you for items you are holding, PM him and see if he is still interested. Since he is only receiving $50 a month you all have an idea of how long it will taske for you to receive you payments in full.

To Shawn...

You should post here with each member you have a pending deal with. The items they are holding. How much you owe each member. Most importantly, you need to list the order you will pay each member. That way; if they dont want to wait for you to get around to paying them, they can possibly re-sell those items to other people.

Shawn, thats a total of $747.00 . With you only getting $50 per month thats gonna take you about 15 months just to pay everyone. You may want to see if some of these people want to let you out of these deals. I dont think anyone wants to hold onto their stuff that long.

Holy S*** dude. That's a lot of crap.

not to mention the stuff people recently took off hold for him. Such as Atushi and myself.

I've done very little business here but I've already learned to avoid Shawn. Back in January I put three games on hold for him for two weeks and watched him continuously purchase more items from others during that time. I gave up after a failed pm to him and just added him to my ignore list.
