Makes no difference to me since there are so many variables with NGCD games. Some jewel cases dont have the embossed Neo Geo logo but some do and re-releases do. Also NG didnt do any kind of special seal job like the nintendo horizontal seal so anyone can just reseal mint copies. Plus demand for NGCD is ridiculously low now so it would be worth much more than market value. IMO.

Yes,i'm willing to sell if the price is right, but my post was to ASK

For example, selling a Factory Sealed Metal Slug 1 for less than $200 would seem ridiculously low...same goes for Brikinger, who sells for $250-300 mint used,$400 would be a minimum for a factory sealed copy.

But i'd like to know your opinions!

Certainly some titles are really hard to come by, but your prices seem quite out of proportion, I am sure one can get a sealed MS1 for less than $200. Right now I am building my own sealed CD collection.

I already have about 55 and I’ve managed to find some titles that are supposed to be quite hard to come by, in the end it’s just a matter of perseverance, patience and/or money.

I am quite positive I will manage to complete my collection quite soon and that there will be just about 10/12 games that will really make me sweat.

To Xian Xi: you can tell if a game is truly factory sealed, true sealed games must have a strip to open them, and that’s something hard to fake.

To ktikit: My apologies, I owe you feedback for some games I bought from you via eBay (my ID advocatrovira), I got busy, everything was great, except for Master of Syougi which came with a little crack :crying: :crying: :crying: , and I am a picky collector.

Really? And tell me WHERE have you seen a Factory Sealed JPN Metal Slug 1 for sale?
Hadn't been in months!
Same goes for Ninja Masters or Brikinger...

Maybe $200 seems big,but $150 is cerainly the minimum

See? Now you have lowered the price $50 bucks, 25%

Look, I have re-started to complete my collection now, and within a week I already found a Sealed Metal Slug 2 I could buy for $130, a Magical Drop 2 for about $45 and a Neo Turf masters for about $130…..with time you can get the games.

Metal Slug? I don’t know but I am sure with time I’ll get it and I know someone in Japan who could track it dawn for me, and I am quite sure that sooner or later she could find it.

You say “haven’t been in months”, I ask where? eBay?…..eBay is not the only source for Neo Geo CD games.

I don’t mean to take out value from your collection, it is a great achievement to have a complete sealed collection, even if all the games are JPN, since the harder ones are Euro, certainly it takes a lot of time and research, but please, don’t try to make me believe certain prices.

Because even if certain games are hard to find, and thus expensive, many of them can still be found for quite ridiculous prices if you are in Japan, i.e. some games that are sold for $20 at eBay maybe have been bought in japan for just 300 Yens.

But yes, as time goes bye those great deals are harder to find and are reduced to fewer titles.

I agree actually with both,Andy and Pep(welcome back on the boards btw!)
To get all the titles in factory sealed condition is very hard mission to complete, sure thing;nonetheless it can be done.

I guess here the real "plus" is the chance to get all the collection in just one shot and this has a price since time is money.

True, but the real fun in collecting is the finding ;)

I agree with Pep. Neo Geo CD games are out there, it just takes time to find the right deal. English Euro NGCD appears to be harder to find as well. Having said that, I agree with FTL that it's quite an achievement to have a complete sealed Jap NGCD. Ebay certainly is not the only source for NGCD- check out Egameaddition, they have some good stuff at reasonable price.

To Pep- sorry for the cracked case...

While factory sealed games may in fact be much rarer then an opened copy demand is very low. Most collectors would like to play the game at somepoint or just don't care if they are sealed. The number of people who do are so minimal that a factory sealed game only commands a small premium over an opened copy. Maybe 10-15% tops.

I disagree with this...while many factory sealed NGCD Games like Fatal Fury 3 are worth $10 even factory sealed, finding a factory sealed brikinger is HARD ( and no,not on Ebay, only, but Yahoo Japan as well where used copies are already for 26000 yens!)

Like FTL said,it is hard and tilme consuming to get those all...for example kof 98 special box or kof 95 are not that easy to come by...

Factory Sealed Fatal Fury 1 is a mess to find...

and i had no point to collect euro version, since i own 18 jpn system fullsets, and the euro set isn't complete at all :)

LMAO @ this thread

This, by the way, should NOT probably be in the selling forums at all...but perhaps in the "OMFG look at what I got, ain't I the best" forums.

the value might be 200 for brikinger, but the gaming valua for that game is no more than 2 cents IMO, such a fucking bad game. besides i dont know why anybody would want to dish out prices that are so overpriced, might as well go aes. ive seen factory seald jap ms1 go for 100$$. i hope you can find a big sucker who would buy them for an even more outrages price than what your asking, i know theyre out there:)

Minor point, but how is "Factory Sealed" different to: I have a mint/very good condition game and have a sealing machine?

Simple: a sealing machine cannot reproduce original factory seals,as said Pep.

About "gaming value", Chibi Maruko Chan Deluxe Quiz is worth $1,but i'll gladly pay $1 for a complete AES Japanese version...who is ready to sell it for that price?
That's a stupid point of view...

Lovecraft: where would be the GOOD category to place this thread?
other forums in france have a special category for it,but i only see "selling" and "wanted"sections here...since i'm willing to sell them, but i first asked opinions, where should have put it?

I dont understand why you ASKED people for their opinions and then seem to be argumentative because you dont agree. Why not just list what you want to sell it for instead of trying to see whats the max you could get by starting this topic.

I'm sure you have an idea for how much you want for those titles. Put an amount by each title ( or for the entire lot) and see who contacts you for them. I notice you mention Yahoo JPN as a location where items normally go for a high price. Maybe you should put up an auction there.

How do you plan to ship the ENTIRE lot if someone purchases it? I have never seen a 100% successful shipment of a CD lot without some of them getting damaged in the shipping process.

There's alot of other questions and points to make ..but it's pretty irrelevant since I am not the one who would be bidding on this.

ALSO.. I dont see Brikinger/Ironclad in your list ... although you made reference to it more than once.

Check the list better,it is Chotetsu Brikinger

I'd ship them, each in plastic protection, and put in bubblewrap envelope, then all those bubblewrap envelopes with tons of bubblewrap into a fedex 10kg box,and that'd do it,normally

You're right,i'm taking opinions, but opinions like "it's worth $50 for the whole lot" or "brikinger is worth $1" aren't interesting at all
I do have an idea of how much it is worth (considering how much i've paid),but i wanted to be sure...and i know that Kof 95 or Fatal Fury 3,Samurai Spirits 1 won('t be worth more than $15 even Factory sealed, but some other ones like Ninja Masters or Brikinger are near impossible ot find factory sealed those days

I already have offers, like $150 for Kof 96 and $175 for Last Blade 2 though ,but i was wondering if somebody would be interested by the whole lot
