In my consolized Neo thread I said I would post pictures comparing the Neobitz encoder against itself. So to showcase this, I have taken 4 different pictures in each mode of the Neobitz.

There's a couple of things I need to point out. For some reason, the colorizating on my monitor doesn't show YUV all too well. What you're looking for when looking at the YUV picture is the clarity. I apologize for this beforehand.

All 4 pictures were taken using a Toshiba PDR-M81 digital camera. While this camera is 4.2 megapixels, the zoom shots of it are horrible. This was the best I could do with what I had.

The monitor used is a Sony PGM-200R1U with the scan converter (BKM201SC) added. This scan converter let's me have more inputs, as well as being able to line double YUV, svideo, and composite. But in these pictures, I didn't line double anything (since that would be cheating). :smirk:

In the end, RGB is the best, but to most Americans who don't have RGB readily available like the Europeans, component does just as well. These pictures don't do justice. Even svideo is surprisingly good in person. Composite however wasn't as nice. I saw rainbows and color banding. I still say it's on par with the jrok's composite, if not a tad bit better.

I guess I should also tell people which one is which, in case they couldn't figure it out.

comp = composite (picture 1)
Y/C = s-video (picture 2)
YUV = component (picture 3)
RGB = RGB (picture 4)

But onto the pictures!
