I recently picked up a US CPS2 A+B set. Everything works but the sound, I'm not getting any sound with it turned all the way up. Do I need something additional? I thought it was just a matter of a kick harness for the buttons, I didn't think sound would be an issue.

Sound output on CPS2 is different from a MVS. Your best bet is to use the 2 RCA outputs on the 'a' board as thats stereo where CPS2 only outputs mono from the JAMMA.

Why type of MVS Board are you using?

How many speakers in the cab?

its the real tall 4 slot cab, with 2 speakers on the top. I think its stereo, the audio setup for the neo lets you test L,R, and center (both)

Well,

If you don't want to go through the process of hooking it up to a stereo or trying to track down the Q amp. You can do what I did and install a stereo/mono switch.

It works great and I can play mono & stereo boards with a flip of a switch. :smirk:

Of course, I think that ttooddddyy had a little different schematic & switch setup for 4 ohm speakers than my 8 ohm ones? Do a search and you should find it. Good luck!

i noticed the setup for the cps2 has a mono/stereo setting, neither worked through the stock speaker setup. Could I just splice the RCAs into the speaker wires?

No,

The RCA outputs on the CPS2 boards are not powered, you would need to amplify it with an amp or stereo. :spock:

Currently I'm only running my CPS2 boards at mono, but, I just got a Capcom I/O board for my Sega NAOMI 2 w/ GD rom setup that also amplifies the audio, going to give it a go. Either that, going to buy a little amp for my speakers. I'll let you know how it turns out.

You couldnt splice or jump them into the JAMMA harness? Does the MVS have an outboard soundboard? I dont think I saw one in there
