Robert Smith pisses me off

For allowing these low weak bands to resing cure songs. I wanna kick them all in the teeth. I mentioned this in another thread, you hear the start up of a killer cure song and then you take a second take on whos doing the vocals and it just sucks.
This tribute shit is retarded, these dudes giving these tributes havent even earned there own ground to do so.

It just sucks to me because of the way it is.
A example would be if I started like giving others some education in country music, theres probably alot of good country music, but im not a fan to make those judgments to begin with.

Anyone share these sentiments?

When bands have bills to pay and don't have anything original, a tribute song is the result.

That's my take on it. Blink 182 or 311 or whoever the hell covered the Cure not too long ago pissed me off. I'm not a huge Cure fan, but i do enjoy them and think some lame ass, spineless, corporate sellout band covering them is blasphemy.

I feel the same way completely.

One thing that completely pushes me over the edge is some subpar band (or any band for that matter) trying to cover any Beatles track. Add to that, when they try to cover one of their greatest songs. I shudder when Strawberry Fields Forever is covered (one of my personal favorites).
