Be sure to check out Kings of Metal and Fighting the World. Their live cd's are good too. Probably their best song: Battle Hymns (imo) can be found on their first album which goes by the same name or on one of their live albums. Also look out for a live version of the song-kill with power. Too awesome for words.

Like Jack Burton says Kings of metal & Fighting the world. If you like Manowar you should really really check out Sabaton with the album 'Primo Victoria'. The high pitch singing isn't there, but that just gives it more machisimo imo.The title song and 'Into the fire' are catchy as hell and the entire album is on par with anything Manowar. (Unless you're a total purist. :D )

Just grabbed warriors of the world. Call to arms is bad ass, I need to listen to the rest.

I like this band, its a nice break from the really heavy stuff.. Its just straight up traditional metal. I can dig.

Agreed Manowar is awesome! To bad everyone in this city has no clue who any good metal bands are. Most people that call themselves metalheads here only listen to crappy emo shit like Tool.

That reminds me, I saw a shirt on the net that said "Grind a Emo kid" on the front and "Grindcore #1" on the back. Anyone know where to get this shirt?

I never got into tool, I am into a ton of shit, alot of my interest is underground and 80's stuff. I'm a metalhead cause I like the music. Like megadeth, this is a fucking bad ass band.

I got alot of my interest from mp3's and its very cool that you can hear previews to albums, so I know what I'm getting.

Simply put, I'm open minded to good music. The problem is, alot of shitty stuff got famous. The 80's and early 90's were the opposite. GNR was the shit back in the day, The Cure was great until these faggy wannabe punk queers stoled all there tracks and resung them (I hate this shit with a burning passion)
It sucks ass to be at best buy and hear the guitar for a old cure song, only to follow with some fucker resinging it, thats so low and I'm more pissed at robert smith for allowing this shit, c'mon man..

There's such a thing as a middle ground you idiot. Calling Tool emo is yet again one of the stupidest things I've heard on the topic of metal at this site.
